Awful place to work
Personal Assistant (Former Employee) –  The Blake at malbisSeptember 3, 2019
Management does not know that you exist until they need something from you, nor do they listen to you. Additionally they will lie on you to save their own skin.

Worst place you could ever go
PA (Former Employee) –  Elgin, SCAugust 22, 2019
Management here (specially at the Elgin,SC location) is fake and truly do not care about their employees or the impossible predicament they continuously put them in. I currently work there now but am leaving very soon due to an unfair scheduling issue and blatant disrespect by the office (with the exception of the DoD and HR). The money is crazy low for all of the work they ask for (most of which is another departments job completely). They would rather get rid of hard working individuals and keep lazy ones as long as they do what the office wants. It’s ridiculous. They are constantly raising rent for residents because they can’t get/keep people in the building and the employees are the ones they complain too because the ED is too busy to take a meeting. The residents and employees deserve so much more than what they are getting.
Pros
Absolutely none
Cons
Management, pay, scheduling, pest problems etc

Run, run, run this place is sad, sad, sad!!!
LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) (Current Employee) –  Baton Rouge, LAAugust 20, 2019
Micro Management at the highest form. Upper level management is a joke, one that changes as often as underwear! You are hired to do one job but in reality you are expected to do 5 or more. Are owners even aware of the goings on with the management company. If so, they are in bad a shape as they are. This company believes in hiring the cheapest help available-----Personal assistants that aren't even CNA's, and the nurses are all LPN's! They even have LPN's in high management positions telling the RN what to do! This company is a joke! Run, Run, Run! They are hotel people trying to make big money in the healthcare industry! Sad, sad, sad!
Pros
New, beautiful building but it has many maintenance issues that are not fixed

Director of Sales & Marketing (Former Employee) –  Baton Rouge, LAAugust 14, 2019
I hated working at BMG. Company is very disorganized. Most of the upper management is clueless about senior living. They fire employees on a weekly basis for no reason.

Horrible horrible place to work!!!!!!
PA Personal Care Assistant (Former Employee) –  Pensacola, FLJuly 31, 2019
Where do I begin.... from the very start I knew something wasn’t right with this place. Management is HORRIBLE! They treat you like dirt and expect you to slave for them everyday. The work load in that place is NOT worth $10.50. You’re 5 or 6 different job titles all in one. By the time you’re done with breakfast you’re tired, sweaty, feet and back are hurting, and you’re burnt out for the day. And if you hurt yourself while lifting and transferring residents (who shouldn’t be there in the first place) they expect you to still come to work, doctor’s excuse and all! They don’t have your back. They will lie and throw you under the bus in a heartbeat! They are very inconsiderate and communication is horrible! Nobody ever knows anything. Management is sleeping with employees. Everyone knows your business, because management talks about employees to other employees. Save yourself the headache, keep it moving!

Beautiful Facility
Cook 1 (Former Employee) –  Bossier City, LAMay 15, 2019
The Blake is a beautiful facility to work. The Director is all smiles and good to the residents, however her HR skills are below average. The Director of Business seems friendly but behind closed doors is not a nice person. This company is all about numbers. The nurses and CNA are paid less here than anywhere in the area. They advertise fine dining but it’s more like Waffle House! Everyone is over worked and underpaid!! This place is a nightmare.

Cons
Overworked and underpaid

Corporate disconnected. Growing too fast and failing to exhibit core values for employees and residents.
Director of Sales & Marketing (Former Employee) –  Daphne, ALApril 25, 2019
Unhappy employees. High turnover due to poor regional, corporate and some local management. Extremely long hours with no overtime pay or time off. Lack of knowledge by corporate of State regulations; therefore lack of support to provide quality care. Management is executed in a “fear for your job” atmosphere with NO training or support. Gold ole’ boy environment. Corporate management more concerned about power than fixing problems and creating a strong work environment or quality community for their residents.
Pros
ED was strong leader
Cons
Pathetic management from corporate

Horrible place to work with an extremely high turnover rate!
LPN (Former Employee) –  Bossier City, LAApril 16, 2019
This place is HORRIBLE ! Management talks about their employees behind their backs to other employees and are very unprofessional. There is no communication between the staff. Management lies to staff about the condition of the residents. The cna’s are always working short staffed! Don’t get sick because they will still ask if you can come in and work. It’s a very unsafe environment to work in. If you love working as a nurse and want to keep your license this is NOT the ideal place to be.
Cons
$3 meals, low pay for a lot of work, no communication, messy & unsafe environment
