LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) (Former Employee) –  Summerville, SCOctober 10, 2019
The residents are truly the only reason to work there. It’s mostly NOT an assisted living. Most of them honestly belong in skilled nursing. High turnover rate because of this and most people I worked with wanted to quit due to the lies told during the interview. As an LPN it’s NOT just passing meds- it’s lifting , feeding and cleaning. I don’t mind it but to could be honest about it in the interview process!!

Run, run, run this place is sad, sad, sad!!!
LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) (Current Employee) –  Baton Rouge, LAAugust 20, 2019
Micro Management at the highest form. Upper level management is a joke, one that changes as often as underwear! You are hired to do one job but in reality you are expected to do 5 or more. Are owners even aware of the goings on with the management company. If so, they are in bad a shape as they are. This company believes in hiring the cheapest help available-----Personal assistants that aren't even CNA's, and the nurses are all LPN's! They even have LPN's in high management positions telling the RN what to do! This company is a joke! Run, Run, Run! They are hotel people trying to make big money in the healthcare industry! Sad, sad, sad!
Pros
New, beautiful building but it has many maintenance issues that are not fixed
Cons
See above---too many to list

A great place to work
LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) (Former Employee) –  Bossier City, LAAugust 19, 2019
I loved the residents and they were the best part of the job. The staff worked well together and did not mind helping each other. The management staff was nice and understanding. Overall a great place to work as a nurse.
Pros
Residents, beautiful place

Horrible place to work with an extremely high turnover rate!
LPN (Former Employee) –  Bossier City, LAApril 16, 2019
This place is HORRIBLE ! Management talks about their employees behind their backs to other employees and are very unprofessional. There is no communication between the staff. Management lies to staff about the condition of the residents. The cna’s are always working short staffed! Don’t get sick because they will still ask if you can come in and work. It’s a very unsafe environment to work in. If you love working as a nurse and want to keep your license this is NOT the ideal place to be.
Cons
$3 meals, low pay for a lot of work, no communication, messy & unsafe environment

Management is terrible.
LPN (Former Employee) –  Flowood, MSJune 7, 2018
The Blake at Flowood is a beautiful community with the sweetest residents. I really enjoyed working there as far as the residents and coworkers went. However, management is TERRIBLE. They love to tell you what you want to hear to get you in the job, but shortly after hire you realize they were just blowing smoke. Management consists of all women who are unreliable and catty. The DBO is an awful person to deal with. She has an awful attitude towards everyone, is always too busy to help you with anything, and consistently messes up the time and PTO. You are I allowed to stand up for yourself because you will be wrote up. Benefits are also terrible and too costly. Such a negative atmosphere. Corporate is great and very helpful. Once management is replaced with the RIGHT people, this place will soar!
Pros
Coworkers, residents, beautiful facility
Cons
Director of BO, pay, benefits, flexibility, uncaring management

Definition of hostile environment due to poor management from Executive Director
LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) (Former Employee) –  Thibodaux, LAMarch 13, 2018
Expectations are unrealistic for any position. Be prepared to be yelled at and reprimanded in front of your peers. Administrative team have either been terminated or left willingly due to the unprofessionalism and hostility.
Pros
Caring for the elderly
Cons
Hostile working environment, disconnected corporate and regional team, and many more
