Not a full time job
Server (Former Employee) –  Oxford, MSApril 15, 2018
It says full time they will tell u after 90 days you will be full time that is a lie. They want you to work your butt off, do jobs you were not hired to do. For examples servers have had to cook, dishwasher, and do grocery shopping when someone called out or the cheft did not order what we needed. Simple things such as coffee, tea and ice cream that they eat or drink daily 24/7.

Run its all lied
Director of business operations (Former Employee) –  Thibodaux, LaMarch 12, 2018
It's all a lie from day one. They tell you one thing and deliver another. Too much pressure from CO office. Horrible management by Executive Director of other directors. Unhealthy and unsafe environment for the elderly. When you try to tell management there is a serious issue it's that no one wants to hear it , are it gets covered with a lie so the families don't fine out l. Will use and abuse you mentally and physically with no appreciation. Only 3% raise once a year IF management likes you. No retirement offered at all.

Miserable workplace.
Personal Assistant (Current Employee) –  Flowood, MS 39232March 10, 2018
This establishment has tremendously gone done. The company has a very high turnover rate. Does not appreciate their employees. Workloads are too heavy. The residents are leaving and complaining about the care and rate that they are being charged monthly. Just not a pleasure to go to work anymore and a whirlwind of choas.

Very unorganized. Not professional. Poor management. Short staff daily. The job wouldn’t be so bad if they actually had people in the office that knows how a facility should be ran.
Pros
Residents.

Leasing Associate (Former Employee) –  Kennesaw, GAJanuary 2, 2018
Overall a great place to work, you never find yourself bored or in need of something to do. During the leasing season it is a very high paced environment which makes your day go by very quickly. You don't really bring work home with you, so overall great place to work.

Issues With Accountability
Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager (Former Employee) –  Oxford, MSDecember 6, 2017
Great environment. Giving the assumption of high end dining, although it is a far reach with the reality of your environment. Had to deal with disgruntled residents with dementia, racism, violent outburst, and changing opinions. One resident would send their breakfast back to the kitchen on average 3x simply because her bacon was not as crispy and flat as she wanted. On a lighter note, Executive Director of that facility was amazing. The ideal manager any employee would desire. Accountability and overly high expectations are the downfall of the job.
Pros
Great benefits, beautiful facilities
Cons
No one takes accountability

Poor Management
Server (Former Employee) –  Ridgeland, MSNovember 27, 2017
This is the most unprofessional place to work. The managers have nasty attitudes and never want to come to work. I was working for them for 2 years. Do not even attempt to apply. Until there is a better group of management you will hate this place. I’m not going to lie the job is easy. They never want to give you a raise.

Sold A Dream
Personal Assistant (Former Employee) –  Lafayette, LAMay 31, 2017
Upon being hired we were promised that we would have at least 80 hours a pay period and we barely make 75 full time. The management only care about themselves and the money that residents bring in. Whenever a problem is reported to upper management they speak to you as if you are unimportant, a child, and ignorant. They promise to resolve issues that occur but never act on them. I feel that when managing a facility respect and direction starts at the to with management and the rest flows from there. Well Not at the Blake at Lafayette. Management shows no care or respect to any one below them and make everything seem as if it is your fault. No I would not recommend a friend or enemy to work here.

terrible management, Disrespect from Managment

Beautiful Place
Dining Room Server (Former Employee) –  Flowood, MSMarch 7, 2017
I was a server. I have waited tables for most of my working life. I loved everything about The Blake except....if you've waited tables before you know there is a rhythm that you have to get into to make it all flow as it should. It is IMPOSSIBLE to do that with the way it works in this dining situation. TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE. So if you are a seasoned restaurant type person- this probably isn't where you wanna be. However for newbies- it might be great!

Lies from the start
Personal Assistant (Former Employee) –  Lafayette, LAFebruary 6, 2017
This place is beautiful outside. Most co-workers are great and we work together but there are many that's always M.I.A. When they are reported nothing is done. The Executive Director say we complain too much. You never know what your day will consist of. Borderline nursing home. Not enough pay for all the work you have to do and every 6th weekend off doesn't give time for family. Every day things change. And Supervisors doesn't care about their employees at all. Lies from the start.
