I have not been with the company long but I can say that training needs to be longer for the amount of things you are expected to learn. They should offer more support to their new employees and give them more time to learn the systems.

I've been working at Blue Shield of California (BSC) for only a month but, I wanted to do a quick review on my experience so far. Blue Shield has treated me so well right from the get go and I have had a great overall experience with management, leads, and the work culture. BSC treats their employees with great perks such as allowing all employees to take 3 hours off per week which basically makes our 40 hr work week now 37 hours which is awesome, we are giving 4 weeks of sabbatical after being with the company for 5 yrs, and we are also giving free tuition to the University of Arizona for both online bachelor and master degrees. Overall, the benefits are solid with healthcare plans being very affordable along with vision and dental. The only downside is the pay here is not the best considering jobs relative in the industry but, BSC makes it up with a great work environment, benefits, and perks. I would highly recommend checking out Blue Shield of California as your next employer!

If you care about your mental health, this is not the place for you. The bonus are good and some perks. But it’s not worth the work load they give you.

We have a good workplace culture and are encouraged to leave on time, no pressure for overtime. Coworkers are great and always willing to help each other as needed.
