A short-term job and fulfilling if you're wanting to learn and experience. Staff are understaffed and overworked. The turn over rate is high because it stops being worth it for a lot of people. The corp can be money hungry and at times leadership can't provide beneficial services.
The management here is amazing. They are super family oriented. If there’s anything you need, they are always quick to make sure it gets taken care. Constant support, always learning and growing
I would not recommend working here. The training is terrible. They throw you in expecting you know what to do after basically a week of training. The training it’s self was not good or hands on at all. You want your employees to learn don’t sit them at a computer for 8 hours a day. You basically have 2 weeks to be done with training which to me is unrealistic because you’re not actually learning it’s rushed. Overall they do pick favorites and it was clear. There is definitely better places to work and I would 100% pick a different place.
RBT is not a job you will do forever. It is moderate-high stress and you are not paid well. However it is a tremendous learning opportunity and very good experience, especially if you have a good supervisor (BCBA), of which there are plenty. Pros: BlueSprig offers competitive wages for RBTs, good benefits, and opportunities for growth IF you are attending grad school and intend to become a BCBA. Cons: BlueSprig is a large corporation who’s primary concerns are billable hours and aggressive growth. This demand makes clinics such as KC grossly overworked. Supervisors do not have the time to provide adequate supervision/training to the RBTs, leaving the RBTs in frequent situations where they are unprepared and unsupported. There is frequent turnover across the ladder. This culture inevitably trickles down to the clients, resulting in very poor quality of services. Conclusion: There are better places to work as an RBT but there are also worse. Even with pay and benefits, BSP-KC overall is below average
DONT WORK HERE! THE MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE! It’s a very toxic work environment. Most people are not supportive. The only good thing there are the BCBAs, they’re great!
