Good future
Manufacturing Manager K (Former Employee) - Washington State - May 11, 2022
Featured review
Boeing selected this as a representative reviewPlenty of opportunity for success. Lots of different jobs, anything from semi skilled labor to, literally, rocket scientists. If you have initiative, Boeing can be a long term rewarding career.

Great company, great benefits
Supply Chain Intern (Former Employee) - Everett, WA - September 25, 2023
Great company, great benefits. Very smart people all around. Compensation was very generous even as an intern. Relocation was provided and more than covered my living expenses. Not much work to do at times though.

I enjoyed my daily tasks, coworkers, and location. I left to pursue another career path, but if a similar opportunity was available I would consider returning as it was a great experience

Bloated company, out of touch management
Environmental Scientist (Former Employee) - Washington State - September 21, 2023
People joke that Boeing is nicknamed the Lazy-B and I think that name fits. Most organizations were bloated with people but most work was done by 25% of the staff. Management is cutthroat, more so to other management and not so much directed at subordinates. However, this meant that almost every manager was looking for a way up and didn't care about improvements, their employees, etc. unless it meant they themselves saw some benefit. Work was repetitive and uninspiring. Workplace was decaying and sad. Boeing is a large company, so it probably depends highly on your organization and manager.

Good money and benefits
Mechanic (Former Employee) - Everett, WA - September 21, 2023
Must learn to be subdued in your work ethic. Not a good job for a go getter. Unless you want to be in management. But with the right attitude you might get along there

Good until they outsource
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Renton, WA - September 20, 2023
Was a good job then they outsourced security. Lots of overtime opportunities and good benefits. The union wasn't very good because they allowed language in the contract for outsourcing.

Used to be a good place to work.. bad management
Fuel Tank Sealer (Former Employee) - Renton, WA - September 15, 2023
What used to be a good place to work had slowly became a nightmare. Manufacturing is full of no-experience managers, running it straight into the ground. 90% of management has zero leadership skills or life skills to lead teams. Those deserving of promotion never get it and get left to suffer on the shop floor. I saw it too many times. I pride myself on producing quality work and it seems like management is just worried about the bottom line. Being 2nd generation, it is sad to see what it became over the years. I loved working here but loved getting out, even more.

Good Pay and Benefits
Engineer (Current Employee) - Charleston, SC - September 15, 2023
Compared to others in the Charleston area, Boeing has some of the best Pay and Benefits. Hours are flexible and Management is understanding but Leadership can be indecisive at times.

Amazing Place to work.
CNC Programmer (Current Employee) - Everett, WA - September 14, 2023
Proudly design and build amazing aerospace products we all fly on. I was hourly IAM751 union represented and switched to an engineering technical roll represented by SPEEA union. Puget Sound locations have Better job security than non union shops and the pay is good. High cost of living in Puget Sound area though.
Pros
Union Job Security, pay, benefits, 401k match
Cons
No pension, Puget Sound cost of living

Small Cog in Large Machine
Project Engineer (Current Employee) - Warner Robins, GA - September 14, 2023
Boeing is a great company to work for and they have excellent benefits. However, as with all large companies, you will feel like a very small cog in a large machine. Unfortunately, everyone at Boeing is replaceable.

Good company but some bureaucracy
Stress Engineer (Current Employee) - Renton, WA - September 13, 2023
Overall Good benefits and work-life balance, but no new development plans and visions from the management. It is concerning the management's lack of motivation in investing on engineering and technology.

Great team and good work environment.
Equipment Maintenance Technician (Current Employee) - Salt Lake City, UT - September 13, 2023
Going on five years now and since expanding it’s been a positive experience. Great team and decent benefits. Aerospace has its ups and downs, and so far the future looks good.

Same ole Govt Contracting
Systems Engineer (Current Employee) - El Segundo, CA - September 12, 2023
Toxic management and government contracting issues. Nothing surprising. Pay and benefits are decent. If you get a good program, its great. 401k is excellent.

So far
Financial Analyst (Current Employee) - Mesa, AZ - September 12, 2023
I feel overall Boeing is potentially a great place to be. Pay is fairly decent and i do enjoy 10% match on 401k. Most of coworkers are great. Where i do havr concern is what brought on to be a financial analyst but we truly arent researching and analyzing the finances and creating reports to our findings. Came onboard told was going to take 1 project but now been given 2 others with possibility of a third. The first one given i have reached out to guy replacing to explain thongs to me over last 2 months and have received very little to no guidance. Honestly think the setting up of thr Mesa CoE and the letting go of many experienced and knowledgeable people go was maybe a bit rushed
Pros
Benefits, opportunities
Cons
Maybe some of training and guidance.

Micro management All the time on 2nd. Shift. 1st. Shift Managers Are way more laid back.
A&P Aircraft Technician (Former Employee) - Seattle, WA - September 11, 2023
They Don’t let there Senior A&P Technicians work. They hold there hands too ! What a Nightmare, It’s Extremely Awful what happened to that company. Former employee, 16 Years experience on Aircraft as an A&P. But only 2 Years a Boeing . Delivery Center in Seattle Washington at Boeing Field. 2nd. Shift Managers Are Horrible , they could care less about you ! Also Major Micro Management going on every day on 2 nd. Shift. Day shift Managers Are Much different. They actually care about you, and they are always saying Hi or Good Morning to you. Plus all the senior mechanics are on that 1st. Shift.
Pros
Walking out the door !!
Cons
Everything !! To many Chiefs, and Not enough Indians !! Stay Away.
