Design Engineer (Former Employee) – Township of Warren, NJ – April 11, 2018
Bohler is a great firm with lots of room for personal growth and development, they actually really stress this. The managers do a good job at tracking where you are and work with you on where you want to go.
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) – Boston, MA – July 20, 2018
Everyone is driven and focused on the company's growth. It's very open about who's job is what and what you are responsible. Great place to work, horrible place to hide because of weekly/monthly accountability check ins. Management is terrific.
Billing Admin (Current Employee) – Warrenton, VA – March 7, 2018
Nice People Unable to set realistic deadlines Try to advertise work life balance in order to compensate for the extreme schedules. The hardest part of the job is not being able to go home and spend time with my family because of a business need. The most enjoyable part of the job is their amazing benefits.
Bohler is an excellent company that focuses on its employees more than anything else. I would recommend this company to any young and hungry engineer who is willing to put in long hours to get ahead. The management at Bohler can be hit or miss. Some of the managers are very strong and others not so much. The quality of your manager will greatly impact your quality of work life while at Bohler.
Overall the compensation is competitive, the people are fun, and the work can be satisfying. However the hours are long, the work can be tedious, and the managers can be disorganized and micromanage.

It seems all so great at first but then things seem to change. Office cliques are a real pain and will cause you problems if you dont mesh with the right people. Expectations are a bit too extreme at times. For me.. It all seemed too good to be true at first. It is.
APM (Current Employee) – Bohler Engineering – February 28, 2017
Bohler is an excellent company to work for. The company prides itself on hiring and developing smart, talented people and delivers on just that. Bohler provides excellent benefits and competitive compensation.
Receptionist (Former Employee) – Warren, nj – February 25, 2017
Friendly staff with awesome management. The appreciate the value of productivity and always have snacks. They know that hunger can distract from focus. They provide you with everything you need to succeed with your daily task.
Great company with a great structure who is always looking to improve
CAD Technician I (Former Employee) – Charlotte, NC – January 16, 2017
Bohler has a very professional work environment, they continuously are working on educating their employees by providing weekly lunch and learns and monthly training activities. The employees are nice and professional. This is a very fast paced environment, the overall goals are always headed for the right direction, however Bohler still needs plenty of improvement with their inside management style. With all of the work that can pile up, the inside managers need better techniques when organizing work to assure all employees have an adequate number of assigned tasks that balances for everyone. There is a lack of diversity. This is definitely a company where you fit best if you are a male or single female (or married without kids).
benefits, incentives, education, customer service oriented
Great work place, with a great learning environment.
Design Engineer Intern (Former Employee) – Albany, NY – December 27, 2016
A typical day a Bohler Engineer started a little before 8am. The management was on top of everything at all times. The project managers set deadlines before the clients deadline to ensure that there was enough time for review and to make sure that it wasn't rushed. The senior engineer that I was responsible to reporting to had a wealth of knowledge. Anytime I had an issue with the software or a question, he took the time to explain it throughly. During my 4 months at Bohler I learned quite a bit about the land development.
Corporate has good intentions with providing training and structure. Well established company with good benefits. Poor work environment. Salaried workers required to work well above 40 hr a week to get submittals done without additional compensation. Management is undertrained, rude and inconsiderate. HORRIBLE LEADERSHIP AND MENTORSHIP. If you're looking for no work-life balance, 60hrs a week with no extra compensation and a beer during work to make it through the day this is the place for you.
Good corporate structure, benefits
no work-life balance, bad work environment, no leadership or mentorship
A fun younger culture company that will work you hard.
Design Engineer, Engineer in Training (Former Employee) – Township of Warren, NJ – March 27, 2015
I worked there at a bad time in the economy and was part of a layoff. They worked me very hard without additional compensation above salary. Great people, fast-paced work, fun environment. Not very good for home life balance, though.
Great people. Competetive pay.
Expect a lot of overtime without additional compensation.
