Excellent Benefits and 3-4-3 Schedule was goid
Airframe and Powerplant Technician (Former Employee) - Bridgeport, WV - May 21, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedBombardier has been through some changes and is now part of Mitsubishi Heavy industries. The hours are long and a lot of contractors are hired and not all get hired direct. If you're a direct hire benefits are good but contractors benefits are usually sub par.

Good ole boy system and have an attitude of your lucky to have a job. No decent raise in years. Last one was 1.2% like that last 4 years. SMH
Transit Technician B (Former Employee) - Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, TX - January 29, 2022
Don't expect a raise or training structure. Training is all on you with no structure other than the basics daily stuff. Job security if they like you or your a good worker. A lot of favoritism and bias here and it shows on the competence of who's in charge.
Pros
Job security if you are liked and consistent hours.
Cons
Good ole boy system, No real training structure Seniority don't mean nothing No decent raise They expect more and more, but don't want to pay more for it.

Team work environment
Long Term Transit Tech (Current Employee) - Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, TX - January 9, 2021
Night shift takes a lot out of me, it’s a hard adjustment to make because it goes against your body’s natural circadian rhythm. Maybe we should try the tree twelves or the four tens just to see if it would creat a better work life balance

This job definitely helps develop skills and increases knowledge in rail road industry
Track Technician (Former Employee) - Queens, NY - January 2, 2021
Management has too many positions and not enough workers to satisfy the needs of the business. One person use to do handle a job, instead the company hires 3 people do said job that 1 employee use to satisfy. Safety is priority #1 which is a beautiful principle. Either you adapt or move on.
Pros
Healthcare, Dental
Cons
Vacation accrual, treatment of employees

Unstable work environment due to contract work and managment
Methods Technician (Current Employee) - Plattsburgh, NY - January 23, 2020
Unfortunately Bombardier has an unstable work environment due to contract work and management decision making. Most people when asked will tell you they are overworked, under payed, under appreciated, and are seeking employment elsewhere.

Bonbardier was a good place to work. Lots of room for growth and training . The job could be dangerous. Safty rules were strictly inforced for good reason

Track Technician (Former Employee) - 402 pan am road, jamaica, ny - December 30, 2018
It is a great company offers many positions and title. It is entirely dependent on the tasks given for that day that will determine what type of job it is.

Very detailed job, but politics is bad
Transit Technician (Former Employee) - Atlanta, GA - September 26, 2018
What I really loved about Bombardier was how they valued safety. Safety was of the utmost importance there. They pay was very good and the possibility to grow with the company almost had no limits. The only thing I did not like was the 3rd shift supervisor who acted heartless at time. Also if someone there has the same status of employee as you and you want to trade shifts you can, unless the 3rd shift supervisor is having a bad day or his favorite team lost a game.
Pros
great pay, good benefits
Cons
Treat new employees bad

OK place to work
Technician (Current Employee) - Pittsburgh, PA 15236 - January 15, 2018
Work was challenging when there is some.
There are few positions to move ahead since they rather hire from the outside and lowest cost countries replace local expertise.
Pros
Local managers are great
Cons
Corporate level instability
