Excellent Benefits and 3-4-3 Schedule was goid

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Bombardier has been through some changes and is now part of Mitsubishi Heavy industries. The hours are long and a lot of contractors are hired and not all get hired direct. If you're a direct hire benefits are good but contractors benefits are usually sub par.

Good ole boy system and have an attitude of your lucky to have a job.No decent raise in years. Last one was 1.2% like that last 4 years. SMH

Don't expect a raise or training structure. Training is all on you with no structure other than the basics daily stuff. Job security if they like you or your a good worker. A lot of favoritism and bias here and it shows on the competence of who's in charge.

Pros

Job security if you are liked and consistent hours.

Cons

Good ole boy system, No real training structure Seniority don't mean nothing No decent raise They expect more and more, but don't want to pay more for it.

Fun working environment

Bombardier was a good company to work for and they allow you to transfer to their other sites. They offer great family benefits including a pension. The job was funded I worked with nice people. Everyday they would give you a new assignment according to your skill set.

Pros

Stability

Cons

May not have weekends off

Team work environment

Night shift takes a lot out of me, it’s a hard adjustment to make because it goes against your body’s natural circadian rhythm. Maybe we should try the tree twelves or the four tens just to see if it would creat a better work life balance

This job definitely helps develop skills and increases knowledge in rail road industry

Management has too many positions and not enough workers to satisfy the needs of the business. One person use to do handle a job, instead the company hires 3 people do said job that 1 employee use to satisfy. Safety is priority #1 which is a beautiful principle. Either you adapt or move on.

Pros

Healthcare, Dental

Cons

Vacation accrual, treatment of employees

Great environment

The pay is subpar for aviation, even unlicensed with experience, but overall I loved working there! Definitely understanding leadership when it comes to family.

Unstable work environment due to contract work and managment

Unfortunately Bombardier has an unstable work environment due to contract work and management decision making. Most people when asked will tell you they are overworked, under payed, under appreciated, and are seeking employment elsewhere.

Very nice place to work

Bonbardier was a good place to work. Lots of room for growth and training . The job could be dangerous. Safty rules were strictly inforced for good reason

Pros

Well rounded work environment with benefits.

Enjoyable interaction with passengers along with a watchful eye of surroundings. Ensuring all means of transportation is working within safe conditions. Management open door policy to employee concerns is outstanding and rewarding.

Please look into Bombardier

It is a great company offers many positions and title. It is entirely dependent on the tasks given for that day that will determine what type of job it is.

Non stop

Great mentors but management in the AOG department was lacking on consideration and helpfulness. wouldn't pay for road trip accomplished and manager/HR could care less.

Very detailed job, but politics is bad

What I really loved about Bombardier was how they valued safety. Safety was of the utmost importance there. They pay was very good and the possibility to grow with the company almost had no limits. The only thing I did not like was the 3rd shift supervisor who acted heartless at time. Also if someone there has the same status of employee as you and you want to trade shifts you can, unless the 3rd shift supervisor is having a bad day or his favorite team lost a game.

Pros

great pay, good benefits

Cons

Treat new employees bad

Hello

Great place to work, but not flexible at all with days off. Pay is good but can be better for the amount of work we out in here. Overall management where I work currently is good.

Pros

Job security

Cons

Not flexible

Understaffed

The work is great. Never in one place. Not boring. Always learning something new. Hours are horrible. No work/life balance. Staffing is poor. High turnover.

OK place to work

Work was challenging when there is some. There are few positions to move ahead since they rather hire from the outside and lowest cost countries replace local expertise.

Pros

Local managers are great

Cons

Corporate level instability
