Get rid of magazine subscriptions, increase pay. Give more proper training to everyone.
Increase pay across the board - you get what you pay for and having some of the lowest wages in retail really makes people think twice about giving the company 100% of their effots. The benefits package available to full-time employees is definitely a great set of benefits, but pay rates keep those employees from being able to partake in those benefits. Take care of your employees and they'll take care of the rest of your business.
Listen to my employees and not persecute then when they criticize upper management. Pay them a decent wage for all of the garbage they have to put up with. Get rid of SPIFF because it’s pointless. Just pay and train your people better. Dole out enough pay roll so managers can sufficiently train the associates.
Provide professional development for all employees, increase wages for all employees, and stop forcing employees to sell the magazine subscription.
