Change everything about how the company functions within the store. Starting with the pointless rule that cashiers and floor help cannot help with putting security tags on boots and go from there. Implement a completely digital e-commerce system instead of going back and forth between the use of archaic and wrongly used paper slips mixed with phone calls and an atrocious online inventory system. Get rid of the bonus wage scale given to inventory specialists and do not use broken math to time them on how quickly they receive product into the system. I never understood the concept of timing when it comes to anything involving inventory. Arguably the most important job in the store, it should be done correctly. Having one person solely in charge of it with no real way to delegate any of the work, while being timed using some backwards systems gives the opportunity for mistakes to occur regularly.

Corporate country. They highly encourage boots, jeans, western shirts etc. and that is pretty much the bulk of the clientele asides from people coming in needing work boots. They base a percentage of their bonuses off sales I believe, and will attempt to sell you things while on the floor. Overall, my experience is that a lot of stores have management issues ( like all retail ) but their problems seem to run deeper and at a much higher level than that.
