You do not need a clearance, but it is highly recommended that you get one prior to applying. As a contractor, you are expected to be able to work on projects with the requisite clearances. Getting those takes time and money. With their focus in Washington D.C., the company can be very picky, if desired, on whether to hire you without a clearance.

The company is now very much forward thinking. Hiring people before they even have work for them. Not sure about Cyber Security, but they provide adequate training material.
