Leasing Consultant in Columbus, OH
on August 4, 2016
Borror is still a rather small company compared to other real estate developers in the area. However they are growing especially around the central Columbus area. They offer fairly good pay (again compared to some of the competition) and pride themselves on putting the best possible product forth while also focusing on the business and employee needs. The benefits are decent and there is opportunity to bonuses and commission (I'm speaking specifically about leasing - not sure about benefits and compensation structure for other positions but I would imagine it's comparable). It does seem a little top-down at times and sometimes corporate/upper management has no idea what it's like to be on an actual site (especially since some sites manage multiple properties) and, depending on the manager, it can feel like you're being micromanaged at times. But all in all it's a decent company.

Everyone in the company was pretty nice. However, if you were not part of the family or friends of either the two top people. Don't expect to get paid fairly for the work you do.
Assistant Property Manager in Columbus, OH

Toxic work culture. They had a manager at one of their senior housing sites that was consistently unkind to the residents. There was even a petition going around by the residents to get rid of her and management did nothing despite the numerous complaints.

Overall they will come off very nice and make you feel like you will grow with the company. What I experienced was discrimination, I was singled out often. I personally have heard the manager say other discriminatory things. When I brought it to upper management they didn’t want to hear me out. They completely shut me down. I would never recommend this company.

Family owned property management company. Human resources manager is awful. Original property manger was great to work with. Current property manager does not do her job.
