Psychiatric Staff Nurse in Brookline, MA

I enjoyed my time at Bournewood and would still be working there had I not moved (way) out of state. It's a great place to work as a mental health counselor also.

Acceptable place to work. Management is trying hard to improve staffing issue, and the pay is not too bad compared to many places. But, they barely value education. Most managers only have an associate degree while the overall staff nurse have a BSN, and the favoritism is the norm.
Intake Coordinator in Everywhere

Poor upper management. Can't trust anyone. They harass you to increase the census. They don't care if your short on staff you have to work like 3 man jobs. They show no appreciation unless your census are up. People do sneaky things behind your back and smile in your face. They don't pay well for the amount of work you do. They don't have a good marketing team to increase ads to get the company more noticeable. They feed the clients same food everyday like they're like some kind of pet. Even though they're insurances are paying. Just don't work for them. I could tell you a list more as to why it's not a great place to work
RN in Brookline ma

Had a great experience at Bournewood, my supervisor was very supportive and taught me a lot to be successful at my job. DON was fair, knowledgeable and very personable. Loved working here, only left because of long commute

Doesn't give out enough masks to staff or patients, units are not properly cleaned/sanitized/maintained, poor staffing ratios. Fair pay for nurses. Patients are cramped into small units. No real security.
