Offer more money and affordable benefits for employees
I'm proud that I was able to be apart of this amazing team.
Operations and interaction among leadership and staff are grounded in dignity and respect, the same qualities that Bournewood is dedicated to showing the adults, youth and families who come to us to heal and recover from mental health and substance use conditions. Bournewood's CEO Marcia Fowler has set the bar with an open-door access. Two great monthly events -- Bagels with the CEO and Pizza with the CEO -- are very popular with staff across the org chart. It's a time to meet, discuss issues important to staff, and of course eat! Another Bournewood legacy is our Employee of the Month program. All staff can nominate a person, the employee is selected and the fun begins! An article in the monthly staff newsletter, a choice parking space, gift cards, sports tickets and of course a big cake! At our annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon, held under a festive tent on the grounds, the Employee of the Year is selected and we celebrate and honor employees entering in the 40-, 30-, 20-, and 10-year club -- and there are many! There is much more we do to appreciate staff. Respect and dignity is the expectation and the norm at Bournewood, for staff and the individuals we serve.

I think it’s probably 50/50. I would recommend scrubs as sometimes it get messy or codes occur that are very physically engaging. you don’t want to ruin your clothes or not be able to fully run if you have to.
