As a technician, you perform a variety of construction materials testing, both in the lab and in the field. This testing can include gradation analyses, proctor tests, balloon correlation tests, nuclear density tests, concrete tests and more. Often times, there is a lot of pressure associated with being a technician, as your test results influence the cost of the project to the contractors. Overall, a challenging position that helps you to develop invaluable work skills that you can apply to future positions.
