Special Needs Aide (Former Employee) – Brenham, TX – May 19, 2019
Working for the school district is great because you don't work on weekends and you don't work in the summer. Also you get out at a decent time so if you have children, it's very do able.
When it came to my child being sick, I was allowed days off without being questioned or made to feel guilty. Also parents and teachers are VERY supportive and appreciative. Benefits sucked in the sense that in order for you to have insurance for anyone besides yourself, the rate shot up hundreds of dollars and was the same whether you had one kid or 5 kids. I had free life insurance though.
Pay also is not great but that must be because of the area. Aides do not get paid as well as they should especially if they work in special education. Those aides do SO much and deserve way more than they get paid.
Management is great, the principal is great, the superintendent is awesome. Was blessed to get a position there in the past, would love to come back if there were positions available. Hopefully better things to come within the years. Go Cubs!

Resource Aide for Brenham Jr (Former Employee) – Brenham, TX – March 19, 2019
I really enjoyed my job at Brenham Jr High. I enjoyed getting to know the staff and students. My bosses were very helpful when I needed guidance on particular issues. The students were a lot of fun to work with!
