the hardest part of job is summer days. Rooms are up to 130 degrees for tires
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  North CarolinaOctober 1, 2018
The phone constantly rings while you have customers waiting to be served. Customer complains that there is too much upselling. Not enough mechanics to handle the workload.
Pros
A paycheck
Cons
Unable to eat lunch on some days. Not able to eat lunch until 4 or 5pm

Stay clear of this place. Much better jobs with better pay w/ less sweatshop-like conditions
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Charleston, SCAugust 26, 2017
Company culture is made up of kids running the stores. Gone are the days where people are held accountable for their roles. Perhaps the company should consider investing more money on staffing stores with responsible employees and not irresponsible kids who seems to call out for every reason under the sun. In short, this company is definitely not worth the time, nor your efforts. A shame because it wasn't always like that.
Pros
Discounts for services on your car
Cons
Stressful environment, incessant phones, belittled by cutomers, unappreciated by management, advancement not based on merit rather, instead it's based on the "in-group"

Good company with good benefits. You get out what you put in. If you wanna sell 400 tires in 1 month then your bonus will be fat. If you wanna sell 200 tires in 1 month you're still bringing home 2,500 that month.

Decent pay, long hours, difficult advancement, never boring
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Tallahassee, FLJanuary 9, 2013
Pay was good but hours were long. Min 48/wk. As a store manager more like 60. You learn a lot about cars very quickly and days move quickly since something is always happening, but you do have to deal with the general public. There is rarely direct placement into corporate Bridgestone Retail Operations, you must work their retail outlet. In order to move up quickly you need to be lucky with your manager retiring or you have to bounce around from place to place moving up the later. Upper management is very available which is nice.
Pros
never boring, learn a lot
Cons
retail, how to climb the corp. ladder
