STORE MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Wichita Falls, TXJune 16, 2019
If you want to fully invest your career and lively hood on a company that will terminate you without any write ups. And will not inform you of what you are being terminated for after a six year tenure. Then this place is for you. Good luck they make it seem great in the beginning. I wouldn’t work for this company again if I was offered a million dollar a year wage.

Store Manager (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXApril 10, 2019
This is a great place to learn about the Auto Service industry. Lot's of training and there is still some very good people with experience who work for the company. The pay is average and the benefits are ok.

Store Manager (Current Employee) –  Depew, NYJanuary 10, 2019
Great compensation, terrible work home life balance. Although performance is rewarded at this company, the need to work 60+ hours, and always be on call, makes having any sort of home life difficult.

Pay

If you enjoy working but not getting paid your worth this is the place to be. They did not pay the players and put a cap on the ones that made them money. If they continued a good thing they had this would not be an issue and a lot of people would still work for them.

Store Manager (Current Employee) –  Cincinnati, OHFebruary 18, 2018
You can make good money, not great money working here $30,000-$70,000 is most common range depending on position and tenure. Best part and worst job is that it's retail which means you have good customers and bad customers.

It's all about who you report to.
Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GADecember 18, 2017
I've been with this organization for many years, and I've had times where I really enjoy woking for Bridgestone, and on the adverse, times when the grass looks much greener across the street. Like any organization, job satisfaction is created or destroyed by the leader, or lake thereof. This one is no different. You can have a fantastic boss that leaves, the next one makes it seem like the company is falling apart.
Pros
Competitive compensation and benefits
Cons
Poor communication from leadership, very low work/life balance.

It's a grind
Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Eugene, OROctober 28, 2017
A great destination for customers. As an employee, it is a grind and the hours are long. Benefits and pay are pretty fair for the industry and the teammate discount is the best in the industry.

I learned to be comfortable in all types of customer scenarios and was proud to represent such a well respected company
Pros

Store Manager (Various Locations) (Former Employee) –  Carson, CASeptember 10, 2017
BFRC Bridgestone Firestone Retail Company is a performance driven and multi-tasked environment. I had a good time working at Firestone. Management was pretty cool with me and I had a good time helping out customers and working with the mechs.

Running yourself out of a job.
Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Lansing, ILAugust 19, 2017
Firestone, Bridgestone itself is a great company. The benefits and store level teammates are great. The upper management needs to be more aware of the store level. They want results and a lot of the time they harp on parameters that don't make sense. They are so disengaged from the boss (customer), theres no wonder why area managers and regional managers change so much. And when they change so does the store level staff. And you get transferred a lot. But there is usually plenty of over time.
Pros
Discounts on tires and service
Cons
Upper management disconnect.

Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Stuart, FLJuly 30, 2017
Other than the 80 hour work weeks, sometimes without a day off, it was a good experience in which I worked with some great people and for a company that valued its employees.

Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Portland, ORJuly 30, 2017
All positive reviews are from recruiters. This job will not offer you a lunch or break. Your manager will Change your vacation based on sales events. You will work in some of the dirtiest, pest infested, and unsafe work environments. To add to that stress you will have uneducated bosses that threaten you weekly if not daily about your job. Any inquiry to this job should be a stepping stone if you are desperate for a job! Otherwise welcome to the worst job you will ever have! Stay away and good luck!
Pros
Discount auto repairs
Cons
No lunches, long hours, hostile work environment, and many more to list.

If you like companies that beat policy into you this is a good one. They train, train, and then train you about their training.
however, it does produce some good results and several of their employees are product specialists...
