Communicate anything you may struggle with clearly and things will be fine.
Data Entry Operator (Former Employee) –  Galesburg, ILMay 25, 2019
I have a learning disability. Due to this, there was a brief unpleasant experience with the manager, but this was only because of some miscommunication on my part.
Overall, management is very patient and accomodating. The position was only temporary, but I would work their again given the opportunity and I would reccommend it as a first time job for anyone or even if youre just looking for a little extra income.
Pros
Decent break length, Relaxed environment, Flexible hours, Potential for growth
Cons
Usually only temp position, Somewhat crowded workspace, Temps switch workspaces often

You sit at your desk working while using your own means of entertainment to pass the time, ie: you tube, audio books, ect. You're allotted 5 minutes of break per hour factored into your pay.

Community Support Specialist/Employment Specialist (Former Employee) –  Pekin, ILMarch 16, 2019
Bridgeway is a stressful environment where the ability to advance is minimal and the likelihood of a raise does not exist. You were expected to work long hours and you were not compensated past 40 hours.

Bridgeway has many advantages and disadvantages. Takes a special person to work in this field. It is very rewarding but can also be a very hard job to do.

Productive, fun workplace
Host/Counter Attendant (Current Employee) –  Smyrna, DEDecember 29, 2018
A typical day at work consists of providing quality customer service, along with fast paced work. Management at Bridgeway is quality. Manager will go above and beyond for her employees. The culture of the workplace was either relaxed or stressful, no in between. I learned a lot about how to effectively maintain clean and safe working environment, consistently adhere to quality expectations and standards, communicated effectively with both customers and management, and being an intermediary between the kitchen and restaurant staff. The hardest part about this job would be how busy it gets, as it can be overwhelming sometimes. The most enjoyable part about this job would be your coworkers and the customers that come in. They are all very nice, and make you feel like family.
Pros
Flexible with your schedule
Cons
Inconsistent hours, low pay

Data Entry Clerk (Former Employee) –  Macomb, ILOctober 28, 2018
There were days where work was limited and was split between everyone fairly and others where we couldn't get it all done, but the atmosphere and attitudes of management were the same. Management made sure that if we were working then that is all that was required. There were many potlucks and celebrations of accomplishments well done. Some days we even had birthday celebrations. It was very laid back: get a snack, go to the bathroom or even listen to music while working. I loved this job!!!!

DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Former Employee) –  Macomb, ILOctober 25, 2018
Management was very difficult to deal with and have forgotten the reason that workers are there and mission statement is a joke. The consumers made it all worth while.
Pros
Working with consumers
Cons
Management does not care about the consumers.

Frustrating job
Data Entry Operator (Former Employee) –  Galesburg, IlAugust 30, 2018
This job is a joke and will suck the life out of you. The only good thing is that you don't have to deal with people and you can listen to music while you work. No sick days, you have to use your PTO or make up the time. Pay is not consistent. Managers play favorites and are often gossiping and laughing in the office, distracting the employees. Sitting for 8 hours is unbearable much of the time.

No longer in business in my area
Direct Care Worker (Former Employee) –  Keokuk, IAJuly 18, 2018
When they were open in our area, that atmosphere was very cliquey. If you didn't fit in the "family" you got all the less than favorable hours. Several times they have me 9 hours a week with someone who cancelled all the time, while "family" was working overtime!

They are no longer in business in this area.

Data Entry Operator (Current Employee) –  Loves Park, ILFebruary 28, 2018
Wonderful work environment and manger. Relaxed work environment. Able to listen to music while working. Hardest part of the job is dealing with system issues which causes a cut in hours.
Pros
Relaxing work environment and wonderful manager
Cons
Loss of hours during the winter months when tollway is slow.

Not the place to work
DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Current Employee) –  Macomb, ILOctober 6, 2017
Bridgeway is not the place to go if you are looking for advancement. Management does not hire from within and no matter how much you advance your education and how good your GPA is, you will not be advanced unless you are great friends with upper management.
Pros
Great co-workers
Cons

Data Entry (Current Employee) –  Loves Park, ILMay 30, 2017
Data entry. This job can be challenging. You are paid based on how many license plates you can process. You start out at minimum wage. It can take many months to get fast enough and learn all the plates but some people learn quick. I like this job since I can listen to music and no phones to answer. The potential to earn over $15.00 an hour is there but average salary is closer to $13.00. It is not a job for slackers. If you like to talk alot, this is probably not the job.for you. You have to sit for long periods. Too many breaks and you don't produce. Casual dress, hours are flexible, there is overtime but not mandatory. You get paid holidays right away as well as paid time off. Medical after a few months and 401k available after one year. You get out of this job what you put into it. Drawback is computer often freezes which slows down production. Get sent home if no work but that only happens during winter. Boss is great. Friendly people but hard to get to know people when there is little talking.
Pros
casual dress and atmosphere, flexible hours, fair pay
Cons
not much time for breaks. computer can be slow. hard to sit all daysit all day

A great place to work!
Data Entry (Current Employee) –  Loves Park, ILMarch 24, 2017
I got a job doing data entry in July last year-I love it! There are pay time off hours you get biweekly. There are no raises but you don't end up making minimum wage if you push yourself to be sucessful. The pay cap is $20/hr. You can be making more at this job than a person with a bachelor's degree! With nights and weekends off, not dealing with the public, and having a great boss, I can't complain! There aren't many jobs like this! Some people seem to be unhappy with this job but I think of where I've been and I'm better off at Bridgeway. What job would an average person with no degree pick-data entry or mcdonalds...DATA ENTRY!!!
Pros
Good benefits, pay time off, nights and weekends off, occasional overtime
Cons
Lots of sitting
