For the go getter.
Rout Salesman (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAApril 10, 2018
Route sales is not for everyone and it's not a perfect job. This is though the closest you can come to being your own boss without the risk and capital expense of buying a route. That being said if your a hard worker and a go getter that has faith and trust in yourself you can make a very good living working for Bridgford. I've been here two years and all I can say is if you do your job and what's asked of you these people will pretty much leave you alone.I've been in route sales for over 30 years with many different companies selling different products, I have to say this is one of the better ones out here.
Pros
Great Product sells itself
Cons
overnight travel from time to time.

My route was discontinued employment due to corporate downsizing after 12+ years. The division closed down few years later after losing too much money.

Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  CaliforniaDecember 23, 2016
This job is for someone who has no life. They make you pay for your own phone line, and use your personal email and cell phone, with no reimbursement. Your manager will blow up your cell phone and email non stop, even on your days off. If you have to travel, they expect you to pay for everything and they may or may not reimbursement you for it. This place is a joke.

Staff Accountant, Sr. Accountant (Former Employee) –  Anaheim, CASeptember 8, 2014
General Ledger account reconciliation, account analysis, research and financial analysis.
Worked on month-end closing, posted journal entries.
Responsibility for a variety of tax compliance requirements relate to multi-state tax returns.

I learned about team work, and work organization.

The hardest part of the job was to meet the deadline when both month-end closing and the taxes are due at the same time.

The most enjoyable part of the job was when the financial statement was distributed on time.
Pros
Comfort work conditions
Cons
Work commute

Has a few kinks that need to be worked out.
Route Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILDecember 22, 2013
Unorganized concerning routing, distribution of accounts, availability of tools needed to complete the job properly, inventory and small payroll issues.

Overall a decent company to work for but could be much better if they took the time to listen to the salesman and route drivers who are out in the field and know what would make things run smoother...... rather than someone sitting behind a desk who has not worked recently in the field and they think they know what is best for the salesman and drivers to make the company more profitable.
Pros
Company Vehicle
Cons
Unorganized concerning routing, distribution of accounts, availability of tools needed to complete the job properly, inventory and small payroll issues.
