Health Services Director in Baton Rouge, LA
on September 15, 2021
They talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. They spent as little money as possible on the clients. DSPs were poorly paid. There is little administrative support for managers. Don’t work for these people; go somewhere else.

The company does annual performance reviews but does not give performance increases - 4 years- with no cost of living adjustments or raises. The 401k match is discretionary with a very small contribution at best. The company doesn't lay the groundwork to promote employees to stay but rather pushes them to go elsewhere for better benefits and compensation. You'd think a company with 50,000 employees would have better benefits.
Direct Support Professional in New Iberia, LA

As an employer, one thing for sure, people will know you are a RES CARE employee because you’ll get called into work everyday. They always make sure you work and have work to do. Sick or not.
Program Coordinator in Oklahoma City, OK

When a company overall lacks compassion for anyone it's a lose lose for all..not sure how they stay in business. Nepotism and a dictatorship is the culture. You will advance if you adhere to the do as I say and not what's right mentality.
Direct Support Professional Supervisor(DSPS) in Indianapolis, IN

The need for this occupation is always available. But the pay sucks for what you have to go through dealing with behaviors often. It can be stressful.
