Fun but dangerous work

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
For the risk factor, the pay is well under fair. Physically demanding. You never realized money would be so heavy. Trucks may or may not work some days. Days are long and don't end until scheduled stops are made.

Helps you get armed in whatever state you work

Underpaid for the long hard hours

Not fun

It sucks they don’t pay you for your overtime.. overtime stops at 50 hr then it goes back to straight time and you working 12 or more hours everyday you have no life working for brinks..

Not a good place to work if you yave children

Brinks is by far the most disorganized company i have ever worked for. You end up working way past 12 hours, they change your schedule without notice and don't care if you have a baby sitter. They train you for literally two days and throw you to the wolves. The employees are all tired and over worked and the pay is not worth the amount of work and stress you have to take on. I see exactly why they are a revolving door when it comes to keeping good employees.

Long work hours

Management was very subpar. High turn over rate; you do not get properly trained but instead are thrown into the mix lacking the skills necessary to complete your job. Long hours driving, trucks are improperly cared for, lack of experience and guided training, shifts are 10-13 hours if you're lucky. Toxic work environment, low hourly pay with no overtime. For the work you put it, it's just not fair at all; they don't need to wonder very much why people are always leaving.

low wages, poor management, demanding hours

Management does not care

Management does not care about your health or well being. If you try to get reasonable accommodation for not standing all day long for everyone they are sarcastic and give no reason why you can't

Help people considering your employer make a good choice.

Hard work and challenging in a good way.

Good place to work if you like structure and security. Days could be long but time flew buy. Always knew what was expected as there are policies for most everything.

The pay

The pay is very great they even let you work OT to get more money around holidays. when working here just do your job and don’t pay anybody any mind and your job will go smoothly.

Your coworkers make it better

You work long hours and practically live there. Pay is minimum for tellers and drivers. Manager did their own thing. Understaffed is an understatement.

Manager would buy lunch sometimes, birthdays recognized, close with coworkers, help each other out depending on coworker

Minimum pay, long hours, manager took off whenever, everyone stayed stressed out, benefits suck, no benefits for part-time

No life and work balance

Be prepared to work ,60-70 hours a week while being under paid. There will not be any paid time off until after 3 months and if you miss any days they will use all your paid time off for your missed days. You work 12-14 hours in one single day and only have a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Only one of the managers know what they are talking about. You will come in at 7AM and leave at 9PM and repeat it everyday. They will make you work weekends too.

Short breaks, long hours, no family time

No accountability and over-worked!

My manager was wonderful. She helped when she could, but because of the nature of the job she was almost ALWAYS at a second location helping out instead of with her team at her assigned branch. Hours are not specified as you come in at whatever time in the morning and don't go home until all work is finished. If a truck is delayed or breaks down, looks like you'll be staying a few extra hours. Pay is not acceptable for workload that is expected. High turnover rate. Complaints and constructive criticisms are not taken seriously or put into action as the job is very fast paced and no one has the time or energy to do so.

If you have decent coworkers

Bad Job overall, not the best for trying to raise a family. You’ll think for the type of work your doing you’ll be making at least $30hr or so but try again

Cool Money

This A good job! You will definitely get overtime. If you have small children, you can not work here and spend time with them. Most of the drivers and messengers and friendly!

Poor Management, not enough training or resources for workload

If you like to work long hours, wear multiple hats and work in very fast pace environment this is for you. Only good thing is there is a ping pong table in the break room to use during your breaks.

Free lunch sometimes

Too much workload not enough resources

Clear sense of purpose / Long hours / Increased wages (as of August 2020)

Good job for a young single guy. Lots of hours, clear sense of of what needs to be done. Feels good to get all your work done at the end of the dayAlthough, Brinks caps your overtime at 10 hours... so anything over 50 hours worked is straight time pay.

It’s ok

Long hours, short pay. No social life or time to do anything personal. It’s a temporary fix until you can find something better. Management is fairly ok but needs more professional training

Paid weekly

Long hours

You basically learning everything on your own

Don’t do it to yourself grapevine location is not it it’s a easy job but the location is ok now good. There communication is not good they write for dumb reason as in COVID in all they will write you up for everything

LONG hours, LOW pay

If you'd like to risk your life for less than a burger-flipper at McDonald's, go for it. Vehicles aren't maintained, management doesn't care about safety or security violations/risks, and there was no standard overtime pay scale.

Long hours, low pay, low engagement, no support.

Solid company with a culture of concern for employee safety

Good benefits and good pay as well as working for a respected company. Excellent career opportunity. A great opportunity for entry into law enforcement.

Unpredictable & challenging

Fun job, but not so much for the pay. Turn over rate is high. Definitely should pay more for what we’re doing. Supposed to be an essential company during the pandemic but haven’t even got a thank you card.

A family away from Home!

Amazing company to work for and the management has their priorities straight. They are a company you want for the long haul! I wish the pandemic wouldn’t have forced me to leave or I would still be there for life!

Pay, Benefits, quality of life!

Risky profession as far as robberies
