Corporate mentality at expanse of friendly atmosphere and attention to how residents feel. Too much stress put on employees for what they are paid. They boot good people out or the the good people leave because of this policy of unappreciation.
If an employee is discovered to have made a negative ( even if true) remark about Brookdale and Brookdale finds out, they often use that as a reason to fire that person.
Make management for genuinely caring of residents, and willing to make them happier.
