Attempt to work with the ancillary staff instead of insulting them continuously. Not Allowing management team to degrade staff infront of residents and other staff. New management team at Brookale Antelope Valley would sure improve the enviornment. .

Brookdale's management was amazing. The only thing management should do is pay their caregivers more based on experience.

More training for the Executive Directors on how to handle all situations including employees and how to build teams withing the community. Regionals doing a complete investigation into employee complaints and not ignoring employees with serious situations going on in the community. Bottom line is the employees need to be heard and taken serious so that they dont feel unappreciated so that they can make the environment around them for the clients and peers less stressfull. When employees feel heard and appreciated they will do whatever it takes to make the place they work for succeed. Brookdale needs to stop making it about numbers out loud. With the understanding that numbers do matter but keep that private and show the employees that brookdale does care and appreciate them as well. After all the employees are what keeps the business successful. Miserable employees bad for business happy employees happy business.

Management needs to focus on what the rules are. For instance don’t tell me I’m mandated 5 minutes before my shift is over. Employee should be given at least and hours notice if not the employee calling in should be wrote up. Pay is just about the lowest given in this field.

Not making you take an 1 hr. Lunch.
If you are on a 8 hr shift ,then you only get oaud for 7 bc you have to take a 1 hr. Lunch.
It should be two , 15 minute breaks ,paid for and a one 30 minute lunch ... if working 80 hrs but you have to deduct 1 hr per day or per shift then you are losing 10 hrs.... when lunch should be an option by the employee

Listen to your employees if there is an issue, or an idea that might help the management team and employees out cuz they (management) are always lacking in their own job having meetings in the directors office or HR's office having a barking session over the employees they are disliking their behavior or actions but guess what if management could stop having there bark sessions and do their job as well as their employees than maybe you won't have employees leaving and since the employees do most of the hard work, hears a thought, pay them or train them to get paid well off than for pennys to show they desire more working for your company. What I believe this company is more selfish and gain for the company not for the team ( employees and management )
