The management has no idea how to handle the employees or the culture. Blame gets thrown around from department to department and is handled immaturely. The lack of management for certain departments complete throws other under the bus, and may be dooming the whole enterprise. It is a toxic place to work where everyone is angry all the time and has no interest in playing nice or making other people's jobs easier.

Upper Level Management Needs to Communicate with Employees

The work life balance is great here. Mid level managers are understanding of time-off and personal life. However, in order to be promoted, you need to set up a bed in your office an work around the clock. Upper level management does not provide clear communications on goals and plans for the company. Product releases are pushed out the door to meet sale quotas without first running checks to make sure everything is working as it should.

I was there for eight months. Learned much from the manager, highly recommend the other team members. Friendly and helpful environment, but we were there to work.
In the time I was there there were two barbecues and a Christmas party. Everybody got gifts (coffee cups, drink holders, etc) and items such as anywhere in CONUS plane tickets, $100 gift cards, etc were raffled off - and even contracters were in the pool!

Bruker is a fine company to start at if you want to get experience in the quality engineering or chemistry business. Currently the company is very disorganized and logistics are a nightmare. Managers keep quitting or getting switched around. Hours keep getting changed and what was once a more lay-back company has become fixated on 5 sigma an optimization causing everyone to become tense.

nice people, no one ever yells. lots and lots of disgruntal employee's common denominator: poor managment of employees, no guidance. Expect 2% raise, no more. not a great palce for engineers as all engineering is done in France, Swiss and Germany. good opps for scientis
