I enjoy driving for builders, I made alot more money for a lot less driving compared to my previous company which had over 5,000 trucks.
The company does all that they can for the driver, there is a lot of opportunity for advancement to other jobs within the company if your smarter than the usual driver. i.e. dispatcher, driver trainer, dedicated...etc.
If the trucking industry wasn't the volatile, dangerous and disrespectful industry that it is...especially flatbed...I'd give BTC the 5 stars...but 4 is realistic for the comparison of how other companies are run.
ELD, scheduling, driving, and load securement pretty much sums it all up.
Good pay, Above average home time, Benefits and Bonuses.
Load planning, Rude customers, Slow freight at times.
Do what they say they will do. Pay is very good. Call me by first name when I call in, not by truck number. Open and honest. Family oriented. If a situation arises that I need to be home, they will go out of their way to make it happen. It always feels like my needs are important and take precedence.
Home time, pay, equipment quality, family oriented.
Truck Driver Class A (Former Employee) – Memphis, TN – November 19, 2015
same as montgomery transport with the exception of not enough work to keep this driver making enough money to pay bills...the money was good until the oil field fell out, but, then they didn't have the freight to cover the trucks, so the lack of funds forced me to try to find a more reliable company
I wish I had never left this is one of the good ones Pay is excellent home every weekend and sometimes in the middle of the week. It has its draw backs due to the fact it is a OTR flatbed company, but that is the industry as a whole. however if you aren't afraid of work or flat beds this is a good one.
