Overall I enjoy working at Bullfrogs and Butterflies. If you are a hard worker then you will last long, but everyone is replaceable. Best part of the job is my coworkers! It is like family with people who truly care about your wellbeing.

Easy job but unorganized and high turnover rate

I was excited to start at Bullfrogs and Butterflies, but ultimately it was not a great fit for me. I have worked at another childcare center for a couple of years so I had relevant experience. I was thrown in to a new age group that I had never worked with before, and received no training. The staff was bickering all of the time, and I did not feel entirely comfortable working there, and left shortly after I started.

Hello,Thank you for the feedback, without it we are not able to identify areas for further growth. We regularly review and work to improve our five day on-boarding process to ensure that we provide more than enough training for new teachers joining our team. We have designed our on- boarding training to allow new team members adequate time and resources to become familiar with our policies and procedures, to get to know their fellow teachers and to grow comfortable with the age group and children they're training to work with. During your time with us, did you share this feedback with a member of the administration team, or make known that you were working in an area you were not comfortable with? We realize that we can't be the perfect fit for everyone and wish you all the best in finding yours.

Family Centered

I have worked at Bullfrogs and Butterflies for 3.5 years now. Just like any job it has it’s ups and downs, but I couldn’t imagine working at any other center, despite the bad days. All the teachers are amazing and patient with the children, and work together to help and support each other. Administration does an amazing job to make us feel appreciated even if it’s just getting you a coffee. Getting to inspire and teach the young minds in our center, is truly a great gift! If you love working with children, and have a great work ethic, come in and interview with us!

Great place!

This is a great place to work! Admin is supportive, caring and invested. They genuinely care about their employees. The coworkers are awesome and inclusive. Everyone is friendly and gossip is minimal. The families are awesome, generous and kind. The kids are amazing and there are great supports in place to help all students.

fun place

The children and people you work with make all the difference. I enjoy working at B&B. There are many negative people who don't enjoy it because they want you to actually care for and interact with the kids and not just sit and watch them.

Relaxed and respectful working environment

I have work in Early Childhood for 29 years and I love the fast pace and never changing demands that children bring into your life while caring for them. I do feel respected from management, as well as I am very respectful toward my co- workers. I have worked in many different position during my 29 years of early childhood education, and I have worked with many different types of management, and the management at Bullfrogs & Butterflies are a great group of people to work for they really do care about you as an individual and as apart of their work family. They make sure all the children needs and staff needs are taken care of. The hardest part of working in any job environment is meeting the needs of 40+ individual employees who have different individual needs and are very unique in their own way. The most enjoyable part of the work environment is being able to be apart of each individual child and families lives who come through the doors and know you are helping in your own unique way to help that child grow into their own unique place in life. The hugs and smiles you get from each child is also a huge plus in this kind of work.

The B&B Family is amazing ❤️

I have only been here a short time but I have not been let down yet. The admin are always posting new training opportunities to help you advance your learning and improve your skills. I came from a company that taught you the bare minimum and let you go on your way. Here at B&B they help you grow and learn new things everyday. Coming in on my first day I was nervous but walking in, getting greeted by admin right away with bright smiles and being introduced to all staff made it much better. The staff were amazing and they take you under their wing to help you with anything and everything you may need help with!

Stressful

I loved the children, parents were wonderful. People are hired in with little to no experience. I understand that’s great for some jobs but NOT for childcare. It also was nothing but hectic. Getting out on time is almost impossible. Especially when working later on in the day. Pay isn’t exactly worth the stress. Employees were sometimes scared to confront management with certain issues

Honest to goodness truth

As a current employee who has been with the company for over 3 years, I can honestly say that I am very happy with where I am at. Before coming to B&B i worked for a center where myself and the other employees worked 10-12 hour days with no breaks and little to no guidance on how to better myself or any area involving the child care center. Coming to B&B, I have found myself feeling very appreciative of the support to grow and further my education in child care and development. I am employed by a company who provides an online training source at no cost to me in which i can obtain professional development hours required by state licensing, and provides professional development days that also contribute to my required hours for the year. In the field of child care, so much relys on ratios in the classroom and each day we are offered breaks, of which our goal is 1 hour, but occasionally will be 45 minutes due to staff calling in sick (it happens and we have health department guidelines that we must follow). In my eyes, the effort to give us the longest breaks possible is so important, they never want to cut our breaks short but there are times where we are left with no other option. Coffee and snacks are provided in our staff/family lounge for us to enjoy on our breaks. I also work with a group of driven co-workers with the same goal in mind, to have a positive impact on the growth and development of every child that comes into my care. In every place of employment, I feel that there will always be some issues to be worked out, however I do not feel that there has ever been an -

poor management and its sad because the kids are amazing

the children are the only thing that made me want to come to work, and that was even pretty bad. there was no help when there was an emergency and the owner is only in it for the money.

Job itself was okay

Place is unorganized - the kids run aroud in a chaotic environment - and the teachers and “hoppers” Have no compassion They’re all “Christians” no not really- it’s all fake judgemental jesus “loving” catty women. Management - doesn’t do background checks Hey pay is horrible. Advancement - yeah right

Super Unsafe!

I’ve never had such a bad experience at a daycare before! I found rusty nails on the playground, saw children completely unsupervised, playing with actual real hammers. I saw children playing with leftover construction equipment in the back of the school; very scary! I only worked here for less than a month, the standards were way too low!

Stressful

Management. Was. Awful. Owner talked poorly about employees with other employees. The children were never a priority. It was always how they could make a dime. If you got along with other teachers too well, management would quickly move you to a different room. The turn over rate was outrageous..never hired anyone worth while. Just a warm body to keep ratio. Forget going to the bathroom or getting an actual break.

Fun place to work

I absolutely love working here! The staff has been so much help to me since I joined, and I have learned a lot. Management is great, and they do whatever they can to help their staff and children succeed. I would say the hardest part of the job is staying consistent in moving up the career ladder when life gets in the way. The most enjoyable part of the job is the constant interaction with people. So, if you are an extrovert, this is a perfect place for you!

Christian only in name

With no paid time off, sick days, or vacation days unless you work up this ladder and put in a ton of extra time outside of work this business expects you to live your whole life revolved around them. Management gossips about staff constantly and looks at all of them as though they are replacable, they also dont follow their own policies and expect every one else to. They dont listen to their employees and they are a very inexperienced center. They pay their teachers very little and they are given no benefits whatsoever. They love the children and they are always first priority, but they in no way take care of their staff.

Children and coworkers are great.

Management pays for most trainings, including CPR, which is a great perq. I greatly enjoyed the other teachers I worked with, although turnover is occasionally high. Management can be very supportive, but can also be somewhat petty. Most of my time there was good.

Child care is a very challenging work field. I love to work with children. Helping children learn and grow is a very rewarding experience. It takes a very special individual to do this job.

Great place to work

Bullfrogs and Butterflies is a wonderful place to work. The center is very well cared for. The staff is an amazing team to be on. Children are put first and everyone works together towards that goal. I am also very fortunate to have my child attend such an amazing center! I couldn't imagine a better place to start a young child's journey to education. I love getting to spend the day helping prepare young little minds for Kindergarten, and I am able to focus on that fully because there is no doubt whatsoever that my child is being taken care of to the higest standards.

Friendly and supportive team with a dedicated passion to caring for children

I currently am employed at B&B and have never felt more at home in a center. The career itself is rewarding alone, but knowing you are employed at a center that has high expectations, and having assistance to meet those expectations, for quality is rewarding too. Administration is very supportive of providing information on trainings to further you education. The environment is friendly and all of the staff are willing to help each other out and work as a team. It is safe to say that I love my job and can't imagine myself anywhere else ❤️

chaotic and disorganized

A typical day at Bullfrogs and Butterflies is chaos and disorganization. The main priority of the administration team is to fill the class rooms. The children are just numbers and dollar signs.Children are often moved from classroom to classroom to maintain student teacher ratio. Teachers often fallow children around with thermometers hoping to send children home so they have less children to look after. The administration team is disorganized and inadequate when it comes to training and protocols. The biggest thing that bullfrogs and butterflies could improve on is the administrative team, to work on business protocols as well as consistency among their rules and be less hypocritical. The teachers that are employed by bullfrogs and butterflies do a great job looking after and caring for the children in their care.
