Moving from decentralized to centralized nature in purchasing, sourcing, customer service.
Top heavy company. Many upper level positions non revenue generating just a landing spot until others retire and backfill and then eliminate the non-revenue generating titles.

High earning commissioned sales people will be phased out. Accounts are reassigned.

They are doing what needs to be done to ensure continued profitability with streamlining and reorganization.

Bunzl is a very solid company to work for. Very little room for advancement. They are bringing in leaders from outside which is a good influx of ideas and strategies.
Pros
Excellent benefits
Cons
Little or no advancement. Performance is not criteria for advancement.

When I first started this job, it wasn't too bad then we had a change in management and let me just tell you it went down the slopes from there. I've worked here for 3 years and this job really really went down the slopes with it's management because of the lack of respect for its employees. Also, if you have a family and would like to have some time to spend with them, I wouldn't suggest working here. Most of the time, you're working 12 hours a day 7 days a week. No flexibility and a high turn over rate. Management, respect your people and actually care for them and maybe they will do the same back.
Pros
paycheck
Cons
Management is horrible except 1 or 2 managers who get treated poorly in my book, workers are completely overly worked, and lack of respect for employees

Working at this location is absolutely awful. It is the worst job I have ever had and the worst boss I have ever had. If you aren't the favorite you work.
Pros
30 minute lunch
Cons
Get harassed for minute things like coming in 1 minute after break is over, Get harassed about incidents, Will try their best to cheat you out of money that you have worked for, will try to cheat you out of a raise, ornary about cleanliness, boss sits in the office and eats catered meals in front of everyone, boss sits on facebook all day, favoritism runs rampant

At the beginning they sell you this fairy tale of being with the company then once you get in and be there for a month or so they treat you like nothing. Management lies to the employees there are barely any days off, it's NOT a family friendly business so If you have children(trust there won't be time to spend). They'll work with you for about a month or so but other than that expect to work 7days 12 hr shifts... due to the lack of good management every work day seems like a setup for failure just so you'll get fussed at. Once the management part gets in control this place will always be a terrible environment and must I add safety concerns as well. A chaotic environment & no matter what you go through THEY DONT CARE... come slave at Bunzl
Pros
A check
Cons
Management, chaotic environment, overly worked and disrespect

Decent company to work for the days can range from most of the time being 8 hours to sometimes 12 hours. Most of the management is very poor, lack leadership, and communication skills. High management will
Promise better pay and opportunities down the road just to keep you around, but it will never happen. They will lean very heavy on the good workers and let the poor workers get away with whatever they want with no discipline. Highly toxic workplace in the 2 years I was there.
Pros
good equipment, good hours
Cons
Poor management, low pay, no room for advancement

while there I was in the office. I did not ever get fully trained during my time there. The managers would not communicate with me. I was told on many occasions that I would be running the office on my own. With that though I was never allowed to do anything for them besides the stuff their "lead" didn't want to do. The lead was from the warehouse floor and was never designated as the lead. When talking to management about issues they told me that thing weren't going to change and they are sorry i feel that way. I felt like I was just there to do what others didn't. Never allowed to fully learn because I could become more valuable than another. Even had one manager never acknowledge my existence until I decided to turn in notice to leave

They don’t care about their employees, they have their picks , if you don’t fit in with management crew , you want last long . It’s very racist. You will never advance. Run don’t go , the night manager Jeff is no good . He takes everything personal and he will terminated you for anything.

Night managers talk very disrespectful to employees. Very high turnover. You don't get any help from management. There is a lot of favoritism. Harnesses that they issue are bad and equipment that they give you is no good. They will hire anybody but don't care about their people
Pros
Lots of over time
Cons
Poor lazy management and very disrespectful.

I worked at the Atlanta facility for around 2 years started as a temp and got hired on. The job had a lot of great aspects (benefits, and plenty of overtime). Ultimately in the end it's a place that chews you up and spits you out. There's a massive disconnect between the office and the warehouse, And everything seems to get blamed on night shift. I personally can count 8 night shift supervisors that got ran through the meat grinder while I was there. You never see your family, and if you ever see someone from day shift or the office they'll complain about how night shift makes their job so hard (I rarely see any of them working more than 8 hours so it seems a bit hipocritical) I won't say the job doesn't have it's benefits I'll just say get that money while you can but always have a backup plan and DON'T EVER think your job is secure no matter how heavy they rely on you.
Pros
Pay, benefits, some really great people
Cons
Upper management, a lot of unsafe practices, no real job security

The Worst raise. Supervisors world get mad when they drop last minute work and it’s not done in time. They favor suck Up workers over others. Give the worst workers slack. Give all the hard Work to the good workers making them upset. And over working them. Save yourself!!! Don’t work at Bunzl.

Bunzl is a work place that I don't recommend any one to work at. Management is very un professional and have favoritism along with poor guidance from upper management. The long hours you work for this company is amazing and they don't appreciate you as a human being. I work there for years and I saw so much politics and bad behavior by my superiors.

There are a lot of negative employees at this location. Personally for me I have always been treated with respect and fairly. I also feel management cares about the employees and wants you to succeed.
Pros

Management here takes pride in working long hours. Stay away if your are salaried. I frequently heard management bragging about 19 hour days. There are many team members there who could move up but choose not to because of the demands.

This place is a good place to be employed with. If it wasn't for me seeking a 1st potion I would still be there. 1st shift was not available at the time. I really need something during the day.

If you apply at Bunzl make sure it’s at a UNION SHOP. The location I am at us drivers are Teamsters, unfortunately our warehouse is not. You can’t compare our pay and benefits to the non-union warehouse because it is not fair. Our package outweighs theirs. Bunzl is the most anti-union company I have worked at. Management lies, and do not follow contract. Thankfully we have a union to represent us. There are some checks and balances. You’re employer is not your friend. Average driver here puts on 2000 miles a week. Early morning start times & weekends off

All though its a fun to work at, its also very challenging, warehouse was very dark, very little lighting. all mechanical equipment (fork lifts) needed some kind of work, batteries held a shot life before need to get recharged.
