Poor place to work.
Forklift Operator (Former Employee) –  Milan, TNDecember 13, 2018
Very poor place to work. Favoritism runs rampant. If the leads don't like you they will watch you to find anything to run back to management about you to get you fired to make themselves ( leads ) look good.Takes forever to get a raise and management will take there time giving it to you, if at all. Employees that are on the floor help extremely more than leads or management when you get confused. The company needs a complete overhaul. If the company doesn't change its practices, they will continue to lose great, hard working employees that were willing to bend over backwards for this company. High turnover. Would not recommend. Doesn't care about employees situations or their families.

Bunzl wasn't that bad it's just was sometimes difficult to pick the product because of how dangerous it was to pick in the racks.
Inventory Control Clerk (Former Employee) –  Lithia Springs, GAOctober 8, 2018
For bunzl to be a Fortune 500 company it was not ran like one of the warehouse was very dirty the racking was bad it was very dangerous to pick orders. The rap machine always broke down you had to pick rap and load your own product you did three or four jobs and really got paid to do one job
Pros
The pay was decent but they could have paid more
Cons
Long hours don't know when you going to get a raise overworked lack of staff

This company does NOT care about anything but it's own profit.
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) –  St. Louis, MOSeptember 30, 2018
I worked for this company for 10+ years and in the end the stress disabled me. Management is a joke. You have to be in a click to just be accepted. You work your butt off with little to no appreciation and one minor mistake will mess your stability with the company. They do not care about their employees. Wait they do care on the level of benefiting the higher ups. Saw so much corruption in the company.
Pros
I got a paid
Cons
The whole company

Over-worked and Tiring
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) –  Milan, TNOctober 28, 2018
If you're looking for a job that works you 7 days a week, look no further, apply to Bunzl today! Last minute changes daily. No communication from the management team. You will have to find out the day before the weekend whether you are working or not. You can't plan any personal activities outside of work in fear of work days changing. Your first raise after 3 months? You'll have to wait another month or two for it to take effect. Out of every 10 employees hired, 1-2 stay with the company. Hard to keep the place staffed. If your lead is out for the day, goodluck. Asking management help with their order system is a shot in the dark, they don't know how to use it.
Pros
Two 10 minute breaks, 30 minute unpaid lunch, Benefits, Safety awareness
Cons
Expect to work 50+ hours 5-7days a week, old equipment/tech

Administrative Assistant I (Former Employee) –  Fridley, MNAugust 14, 2018
Bunzle was a great company to work for as a business but the culture at was not ideal. It was stable, and I liked what I did, but very emotionally draining because of the people around me. The advancements were promised, but never followed through with. There wasn't nearly as much collaboration within teams and departments.

Things need to change
Clerk (Current Employee) –  Murray, KYOctober 11, 2018
Poor management. Poor pay for the work you have to do. Stressful. Adults that act like 2yrs old. Too many favorites. Favorite well special treatment like playing on your cellphone, just talking not working. No one is held accountable for the actions. Everyone feels intitled...Work you butt off nothing. No advancement. Insurance is fair. No rewards for the hard workers. Not a career workplace. Rude employee's. Not enough training. Someone who has been there for a few days probably will be training. No uniformity. When cooperate comes management acts fake. Would love to see alit of changes with new warehouse manager. Needs a new opertions manager. Golden rule; treat others the way you want treated. Hoping for change. And a real pay increase. Better and UPDATED equipment. Feels like we live in the stone age. Respect your employee. We are told that we are replaceable. Be the company you say you are....Bunzl
Pros

Harsh working environment
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  Lithia Springs, GAOctober 15, 2018
Work hours are extremely harsh. You never know when you are about to get off. You have to work until finish, so sometimes you might do a regular eight hour shift and sometimes you may do a 15 hour shift.
Pros
two paid 15 mins break
Cons
too many hours and not enough pay and breaks

Exciting and Goal-Driven
Packer/Picker (Current Employee) –  TennesseeAugust 11, 2018
Great compensation and full benefit package is a major win. Opportunities for advancement are available. Staff friendly and helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Upper management is strict but fair. Culture and morale depends on the individual's job satisfaction and attitude. Many loyal full time associates, with a smattering of temporary employees during peak seasons. Dedicated temps are typically hired within three months of service. Emphasis on employee safety regularly enforced. Premiums awarded for weekend work. Employees are recognized for teamwork and strong work ethic. Contests and events keep worklife happy. Teams are allowed twenty minutes for calisthenics before beginning work.

Bottom line -- if you are willing to work, you will be rewarded at Bunzl.

Forklift Operator Selector (Current Employee) –  Anaheim, CAJune 17, 2018
Bunzl is a good job with decent pay and benefits. It is a very fast paced environment. You learn how to think on your feet and be efficient working here. Work is busy from the time you start to the time you leave. Management is understanding for the most part. The job can be be physically demanding if not use to working in a very fast paced environment.
Pros
Good benefits.
Cons
Lots of overtime work.

Do not work here
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  York, PAMay 15, 2018
Management is a joke. They let the people who are lazy get away with everything and do not take actions against them. The hardworking employees get taken advantage of . Raises are minuscule if you even get one. If you take a day off, the day you return you are punished. They work you like dogs and do not care. Management sits in the office and does not help or know what is going on. People sit around on their phones instead of working.

Poor management leads to unproductive and unhappy employees
Warehouse Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Murray, KYJuly 23, 2018
I was excited about working here when I was offered the job at a decent salary for my area, 40-50 hrs a week. Sadly, that only lasted 2 weeks. Mandatory overtime with little notice and no compassion for employees with planned vacations or those that care for ill relatives. They cannot keep enough staff to get job done, so supervisors end up with making same as hourly employees because they are paid a salary barely over the limit for having to pay overtime. Injuries and accidents abound due to their inability to properly train and retain staff. OSHA accident waiting to happen under current Operations management.

These large employers should realize that happy employees produce and stay with a job much longer than people who are treated like dirt. Production numbers would not be an issue if they could retain employees longer than 1 week.

Working at Bunzl has been a very fun experience for me. The culture is fast paced but the employees pull together to make our internal and external customer experience a very positive one.
