Retail Receiving Associate in Sterling, VA

Low Pay, Hard Work
There was barely training for my position I applied for. You have to learn as you go which makes you prone to have more mistakes and get yelled at. Also the pay is very low considering all the hard work Associates have to do early in the morning. Coworkers are very friendly and welcoming. Overall this job is good to get some experience as a first time job, but for long time, no thank you.

The hours are very flexible, managers are understanding and the workplace is very diverse. In my experience, every day goals could be better planned, but overall my experience has been smooth.

Even working full time, you aren't paid or given enough hours in the day to do your daily required tasks, clean the store, help customers, AND work as a backup cashier. Management tells you to talk to them and let them know when you feel overwhelmed then tells you that you have no reason to feel overwhelmed. The company itself expects you to do the work of 20 people. Floor workers can't get anything done because they are always called up for backup. It's no wonder the turn over rate for Burlington is how it is. Many people who left before and after I did said it was due to the company and management. Most developed bad anxiety and depression. Not good for mental health to work here. If they want to keep employees, maybe work on not only gaining their trust but also GIVING THEM TIME TO DO THEIR TASKS!
Receiving Associate in 60 Newport Ave, Rumford, RI

I love working at the receiving, my co-workers are fun, friendly and polite, the immediate supervisor is the best, very hardworking and respectful. I felt welcomed since day one and I really feel like part of the family. The only thing that keeps Burlington from being the best place to work is the payment and the lack of hours. it would be perfect if we could have more hours but if you're seeking for a part time job this is just perfect.

Great place to work. I worked at Burlington for the past 6 years and 💕 loved it. The only thing I don't like about it is that Burlington only hires part time employees.
