Had a Great Internship here
Software Development Internship (Former Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNJune 19, 2018
Although my time was short at Calabrio I got a good feel for an Agile development work environment. The company does like to have their fun in the office with innovation Thursdays, and by having friendly management and coworkers. Their workplace culture is why they are on the list for Top Companies to work for in Minneapolis.
Pros
Innovation Days

Calabrio is the Place to be
Professional (Current Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNMay 14, 2018
Never have I experienced such a connected, fun, and innovative environment. The employees here are extremely smart and fun to work with and the company itself truly values employee engagement.

All the way up to the CEO, you can tell each level of leadership truly makes an effort to keep employees happy.

Some great perks include a flexible PTO policy, work/life balance opportunities such as working from home, Waffle Wednesday's, monthly company education days, corporate giving and volunteer opportunities, and good medical, dental, and vision benefits.

My favorite part of working here is coming in every day and completely engaging with your coworkers. Overall, the company does a great job at hiring people that are smart, collaborative, hard-working, and outgoing - something I noticed immediately upon interviewing.

The company is growing fast which requires people to work fast, work smart, and think on their feet. If you don't think any of those qualities pertain to you, Calabrio may not be the right place for you.

Fantastic company with huge growing potential and many positive changes coming.

No work-life balance. Managers have very little leadership skills with no longterm goals communicated to team members. Not doing anything to retain good resources. Many good employees are leaving the company.

Going through a rough patch
Manager (Former Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNOctober 21, 2017
I liked this organization at the beginning. It's like a new company every 6 month and isn't quite sure what kind of a company to be. It's not quite a start up, and not quite a mature company. Some things felt fly-by-night, while other things involve multiple layers of bureaucracy. It could be a great company, but right now it seems lost.
Pros
Free beverages.
Cons
Stuck between an immature and mature company

Growing business with a fun culture
Technical Support Engineer (Current Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNSeptember 18, 2017
Growing business. Plenty of happy hours and charity events to attend. The business is growing faster than it is being supported. Consistently short handed and more focused on quantity over quality.
Pros
Business is growing therefore should be more opportunity in near future
Cons
Business is growing faster than it is being supported. Consistently short handed.

Good place to work at
Analytics Application Developer (Former Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNSeptember 17, 2017
Calabrio is a fast growing, well respected company. It has a rare combination of being a company that has been around for a long time that continues to have a feel of a start up. The Waffle Wednesdays and the monthly get together to celebrate achievements are fun!
Pros
Free Soda, popcorn and chocolate

Good company with growing pains
Technical System Architect (Former Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNApril 24, 2017
Fast moving company that is experiencing growing pains which can be difficult to deal with. Most of the people at the company are great, and they try to provide a good culture to work in. Location and benefits are great.

Management doesn't really understand what goes on with day to day operations. Quality was starting to become a major issue.
Pros
Benefits, Location, Exposure to new technology
Cons
Management, product issues

The company is not willing to paid to help you improve or to train you. Engineers need often to work 1 week on 2. Drink are free. A lot of change of management. And half of the employes left in the last year

Calabrio a day in the life of TAC/CSS
Calabrio TAC (Current Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNJuly 26, 2014
Great place, great people.

The only catch is the busy 24/7 on call schedule which is more like a busy third shift.
Pros
Free food often. Free drinks and soda daily.
Cons
24/7 on call rotation which leads to 16 hour shifts every 4th week, be to work by 8 am after a night of troubleshooting at 2, 3, 4 am in the morning. Granted on gets you extra money.
