Scheduling and mandation.

Hello. It is true that CNAs, Culinary, Housekeeping and Laundry potentially get mandated if there are call-ins. We do attempt to fill the needs with volunteers who want extra hours but that is not always possible. In that case, we mandate to ensure that our residents have the best possible care and staffing at all times and that our employees are not just given an additional workload to cover the call-in.

We have accrued "PLD" or Personal Leave Days. This includes sick time as well as vacation or other personal days. You earn time based on the number of hours you work. A person working full-time hours (even if considered a part-time employee) you earn up to 10 days off in the first year, up to 20 days after the first year, and additional days based on length of service. If you call-in sick or take a personal day, it all comes out of the same bank of time.
