Cancer Support Community provides comprehensive psychosocial support and education programs for people with cancer and their caregivers and families. Our services enable cancer patients to manage their treatment and recovery as effectively as possible, increase their chances for survival, reduce their chance of recurrence, and provide for a higher quality of life. Over 3,000 people affected by cancer in West San Fernando Valley, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, will be served by Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara during 2015.

Cancer Support Community is an international federation of cancer support organizations, including almost 50 Wellness Communities, Gilda’s Clubs and Cancer Support Communities throughout the United States. Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara is one of five Cancer Support Community affiliates in Southern California. We are an affiliate of the international Cancer Support Community organization, but we are an independent nonprofit corporation, so all of the funds we raise are used to support people affected by cancer in our local community.

Our Community opened in Westlake Village in 1991, and now serves over 3,000 people affected by cancer each year. We also provide services in medical centers and other community locations, including Camarillo, Oxnard, Sylmar, Ventura, and Winnetka.Show less
