Team Member (Former Employee) – MA – November 18, 2018
I was hired for full time which is why I thought I could get by even at the low, low hourly rate $12hr. But I hardly got 30 hours a week never mind 40 hours a week. They hype everything up and it definitely is not a career move like I was hoping, you won’t go anywhere.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Maine – October 5, 2018
Canna Care Docs was recently acquired by Sail Cannabis, based in Toronto. Sail is the most top heavy company I’ve ever worked for. How many chief officers does a company of 100 people need? CEO, COO, CFO, CMO, President, SVP, VP, Director, Operations Manager and 25 graphic design interns. Chief marketing officer? Seriously? This isn’t Apple or Google. It’s a miracle they can pay the front line employees anything at all with each of the executive team making six figures a year. Want to make $10 bucks an hour with no benefits, no vacation time, no 401K, no insurance? This is the company for you! If you work here, be prepared for being tethered to your phone 24/7, lots of office gossip, and some of the most pretentious, conniving leadership you will ever encounter.
You can pretty much do anything you want. They’ll only fire people for stealing.
No benefits, no vacation time, no perks, below market pay.
Executive team (Current Employee) – United States – August 14, 2018
I started with Canna Care Docs in 2013 as a part-time receptionist. The "startup" life isn't for everyone, but with tenacity, grit and dedication, you will be rewarded and soon, opportunities for growth will present themselves. I am now in an Executive position in the same company I helped to build. There will always be employees who feel they aren't treated "fairly". Just remember, there are two sides to every story. I work with many of the same people that started with me in 2013. We are a family pioneering an industry that is riddled with stigma and lacking in precedents. Proud to be part of the Canna Care Docs family.
Shaping a new industry, meeting new and interesting people each day, travel opportunity
Medical Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) – Massachusetts – July 16, 2018
I wanted to get my foot in the door of the medical marijuana industry. This is not wellness, it's merely a revolving door with very limited care and education. The people are very nice, it's just the nature of the business. The pay and benefits are embarrassingly low and not sustainable for supporting yourself. I have learned some, not much, about cannabis care but won't be able to work here long term based on pay and the horrible lack of self worth working for this money creates .
nice people, cool industry, fascinating plant
terrible pay, benefits and likely no room to advance
This job is what started my life out of the food industry.
