I have worked at 3 Cantex facilities and they are all short staffed, no supplies, admitting patients with no warning, and hostile admin! Enjoy!

Carrara which is a new building had alot of potential. New building new supplies just thought it would be excellent to start.Work environment was excellent until the administrator was harassed by corporate so much that he left. Then we get a stand in ed she was excellent. Then the facility got the worse administrator possible. She is a very rude, flat and has no integrity about herself. She loves to keep a drama filled environment and base decisions on hearsay rather than work performance. She has no clue what goes on in the building and doesnt care much about the patients until corporate, owner , or the state enters the building. Since she has been there the facility has had a turn over rate of 125% aides and nurses quitting(that blame lies greatly on the DON and his drama filled unit manager Elizabeth), who WILL NEVER have his aides or nurses back and only cars about charting and QUANTITY OF WORK NOT QUALITY. Housekeeping and dietary can not do their jobs for the HR hires and makes schedules for their employees. Activity director is constantly blamed for not having activities for residents , but if residents refuse what is she to do. If there is a restorative aide, when is it done shortage of staffing prevents that . Central supply and medical records person is excellent if she still works there. Social worker is sweet and tries . The best department for entire building s therapy..DEPARTMENT ROCKS... Corporate and owner need to just do a pop up visit that way they will know this building is a joke

This place is a huge mess. The only people I feel sorry for are the residents. Orientation was a joke, considering they gave you all the answers and didn't teach you anything. I have management, janitorial, and maintenance experience, years of experience. If there's one thing I definitely figured out within this company in a very short period of time, it's that responsibility is deligated to those low on the totem pole while supervisors sit in there vehicles and smoke, play on phones in locked offices, or leave company grounds for personal errands on company time. So if you're looking for a job that pays dollars instead of pennies and will appreciate your experience, work ethics, and team work mentality - look elsewhere. This is not the place.

The top management is a bunch of insecure children who contanstly lie to their mother (CEO). The siblings put everyone against each other and then kiss and make-up. So if you are intelligent, educated, successful career oriented person you will leave within 90 days knowing your time and talents are wasted. If you have integrity, run!! They are not patient focused. The poor DON’s are stuck adhereing to PPD’s and so can’t keep good staff and have their license at risk daily. The social workers hands are tied being forced to use their substandard ancillary services. The only thing excellent at this company is how deep the pockets are of their shady corporate management as they bonus themselves for screwing their hard working employees. Beware, if you are a driven career minded individual, you won’t learn anything here. All that glitters is not gold. They are a Human Resources nightmare. But of course the head of human resource is a CNA. Which works really well considering integrity and ethics to not apply to any business values.

Stay away!! HR spends more time in the kitchen, eating & instigating confusion, then expect you to brown nose & complement her. Pay is horrible , high turnover, not worth it.

Overwhelming amount of work, computer system that is almost impossible to learn, no real training for said system, admin couldn't care less about the staff, the fact that they've had 3 ADON's in the last 6 months and no DON for 5 months says a lot. Very high turn over rate for 2-10 shift.
