Director of Business Development (Current Employee) – Sterling, VA – February 8, 2017
Capgemini, throughout the organization, is driven to work with their clients to help them succeed. This is how the workplace culture is orchestrated. They are very goal oriented to meet these goals while at the same time using their values as their guidance.
Application Analyst (Former Employee) – Southfield, MI – April 20, 2018
Management did not seem concerned with quality of work, only that you put in a prescribed amount of time each day. It seemed like micromanagement was highly encouraged. It also seems like management withheld information regarding wind-down of client contract for account that I worked for. Company provided no assistance in finding new assignment when contract was ending, and tools provided to find an assignment on my own were grossly inadequate.
decent benefit package
difficult to find and apply for new assignments, management
A typical day begins with a planned day of design, development and oversight of Maximo instances. Inevitably something is discovered or goes sideways. It is poor approach to the challenge that diminishes the overall score.
No job security, subjective handling of US staff vs oversee's staff
Data Analyst (Current Employee) – El Paso, TX – April 15, 2018
Has great home/work life, except overnight which is a given. But not good with pay or raises, negative system regarding rating system, unstructured, no room for advancement post but in the end outsource never internally hire or advance.
Consulting company with training and education included.
Senior Manager/Practice Manager (Former Employee) – Denver, CO – April 2, 2018
Liked the job and the people. company was headquartered in France and I was offered a position at Sequent from my past manager at Hewlett Packard at Sequence in Portland, Oregon. I liked the people and the training I received. Left to work with my manager at HP, he passed away two years later and went back to Denver. to accept another position at Hewlett Packard.
Started in recruiting and was able to move into a staffing/resource management role, allowing me to get exposure to other areas of consulting. Allowed for remote work, which was helpful in in managing work/life balance with small children.
Claims Examiner (Former Employee) – Horsham, PA – April 2, 2018
Lack communication, Horrible training, lack of people and no replacements in a timely fashion. Work claims examiners to the bone and yet management still chews you out for minor mistakes. Everyone wants to play boss but does not take on full responsibility. No new hiring protocol; you are expected to install and call support yourself to figure out why systems were not set up accordingly prior to your arrival. Always errors in payroll; FT & OT errors constantly. A lot of wasted time goes on there. All good reviews posted are entirely not true; at least for the PA location.
I enjoyed working with GT, it was a great experience because I learned a lot more about the business world. The downfall about the company is their is poor management and some directors aren't willing to help out when you are struggling. Their is favoritism within the office and they expect more from others who are already hard workers.
QA FUCTIONAL TESTER (Former Employee) – Na, VA – March 31, 2018
It was a great environment to work with a team- especially the QA team. During a regular workday, our QA team would discuss how we would use different tools to test various applications. The people in the team were kind and helpful. It was easy to communicate with them. There were obstacles that came, however, I was still capable of overcoming them almost every single time. What was enjoyable during my job was that my QA team and I were able to complete the project.
Manager (Current Employee) – Philadelphia, PA – March 29, 2018
Typical work day is hectic at times. Workplace culture is generally good but it also depends upon your manager and team you are working with. Its hard to get a good opportunity or work if you do not have good references.
Financial Business Analyst (Current Employee) – Austin, TX – March 26, 2018
A typical workday involves data analytics and billing. Management is excellent and I've learned a ton in the IT world. Work environment is relaxed with not too much heavy breathing down your neck and definitely give you some time back if you've done your job. Loved not taking home work or working from home.
Work from home sometimes, Lots of free time back if job was done
Manager (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – March 26, 2018
Capgemini is definitely a technology focused consulting firm. Like any consulting, full time travel and long hours can become problematic if you also enjoy maintaining a strong personal life outside of work.
