For my friend it was very quick. He actually heard back (that he moved to the next step) the same day. I don't know if that is a good sign or if he was just the last candidate to video interview.

They are meant to start immediately. There can be a little lag as you have to get everything set in in the system.

CEO''s of companies should not focus so much on peoples past when deciding to hire someone. We all have made mistakes in life. The thing is to learn from it the first time so that it is not repeated. Lot's of CEO's have done illegal things in life and they are able to move past that and still get great careers. I am a strong believer in second chances. Lots of people out there who just so happen to be at the wrong placed at the wrong time with the wrong people doing wrong, but they end up getting a charge even though they had no idea what was going on. This is not fair nor is it right. Give people a chance to explain before you let a background check with one charge stop you from hiring a great employee.
