For the WFH position I filled out the application and was later contacted by my now recruiter. He told scheduled an informal interview to see how my personality would fit with the company. I then did the virtual 1 hour long interview with two managers. It took about 4 days to get a response. I was lucky enough to receive an offer. I then went to my local sheriff's office and got my fingerprints done and that took about 5 days to clear.
I had 3 interviews. 1st: Recruiter, 2nd: Job Fit, 3rd: Behavorial. All three interviewers were genuinely nice, and were interested in my customer service experience. If you love customers, and taking care of people, just be yourself in the interviews. Read up before the interview on what the STAR interview method is. Doing a mock interview can help organize your thoughts so you give clear, concise answers. I was very impressed by how genuinely nice and professional these people are, and I am looking forward to continuing my career at Capital One.
1st was a phone interview with recruiter, 2nd was a phone interview with a associate, 3rd was a series of video interviews with 5 people on the team you'll be working with (1 hour each with 15 min break between each)
For the work from home position, I filled out the application, got an email to do a recorded interview video about 2-3weeks later. After the recorded interview (1 week later)received an email from recruiter stating they were interested in continuing the interview process. Next I did an informal over the phone interview with recruiter who then said that I’ll have one more live webcam interview where they ask about 5 situational questions (STAR) and 5 behavioral questions (some questions were tough)... 3 days later was notified I got the job.. working from home, virtually. Finally they do background and fingerprinting, have you fill out confidentiality agreements, etc. if everything checks out you get your start date
Over the top vetting and false option for salary negotiation.
Phone interview screening for job fit. Video response interview with job fit and behavioral questions. In person interview with one or two hiring managers. It took me about 3 -4 weeks from start to finish to get hired on and start the next training session .
I applied for a Senior Service position. About 5 days later, I got an email to submit a video interview. It was basic interview questions. 3 days after that, I received an email for an on site interview. That interview consisted of behavioral questions and using the STAR method. About 3 days later, I received a call welcoming me to the team.
3 interviews. First with recruiter. Behavioral interview and job fit questions with managers. Not too bad.
The interview process is great and sustainable
Interview was first a phone screen then a group interview of 4 Capital One employees
