So sad i had to leave Capital one but this is by far the best company I’ve ever worked for. I have nothing bad to say about this company. From the day i became an employee they treated me like family every where i went. I work at the jrc location & the environment was different from what i was use to. Everyone was pretty cool most supervisors were helpful and the co workers was cool as also. When everything happened with COVID they were quick to respond. When things were in the media about BLM they were quick to respond in a positive understanding way. Love it. However If you are planning to work in collections please know you need to have patience and bring your A game to collect money.

The job was amazing when we were still in the center (before covid) they have many groups for all walks of life. LGBTQ+ friendly and supportive. Pay was amazing also receive bonuses. Gave prizes and gifts to boost morale and all around a great company

The company started as a credit card company and went into banking. All things considered, it was a good experience. I was in the certified banker program and that was a great learning experience but the direction of where they took it never was clear.

Capitalone is a great place to work and there benefits are some of the best.The only negative I have is how hard it is to move up from my position. If you do not want to be a unit manager then there is really no where else to move up to

Work from home position prior to COVID managers were ok as well as pay. There was little to no room for growth as most positions seemed to be filled with folks that had been in the company for years. I gave 4 stars due to benefits as they were really good.

It had its ups and downs. Management was pretty cool and had some cool coworkers. Everything was shifted to a work from home atmosphere which was different at first but they seemed to try and make it engaging. Pay was ok. Lots of calls and kind of frustrating with metrics and non functioning systems.

Not a fun place to work. Not given adequate staffing to accomplish goals. Competitive work environment had you always looking over your shoulder for someone to stab you in the back

There is good pay and good benefits. Some managers care about employees, others don’t. It’s an easy job to catch on to. But all around there are some aspects of the job that are unorganized.

Highly stressful with lack of management support. Very frustrating environment unless you were one of the executive's pets. Most decision makers were more focused on saving their jobs than treating their teams with respect.

Not what I thought it was going to be long term. Worked for this company for 10 years and then get a notification for a layoff. Management continued to hide the truth about when and how.

Overall it was a great place to work at and I’ve had many great contacts I still keep in touch with. Banking, however, is ever changing and you can never guarantee job security. It was an excellent environment with great support and great mission - but with trying times comes with quick and large changes, but that’s based on the industry itself.

Fantastic benefits, great opportunities to learn and develop outside of the role, fun campus-like environment. Like anywhere, it's all about who you know to advance or to transfer to a different department. Annual reviews unfairly pit employees against each other vs. individual performance being reviewed. Layoffs could have been handled differently.

Cap1 is a great company when it comes to employee satisfaction, like the employees happiness means everything to them. You always have food days, snack carts once a week, game room on each floor to unwind. Very relaxing setting for employees so everything is not work, work work. Scheduling is super flexible, PTO easy to request. but not many opportunities for advancement unless you’re a favorite to many. You kinda get stuck in a position unless your liked in their game of corporate politics. You can be 100% qualified for the position and they won’t give it to you because typically they know what applicants they’re hiring and tell them to apply so you’d be wasting your time if your trying to move up but wasn’t told to apply and you do anyway. They’ll give you a bogus reason as to why they didn’t pick you, knowing the whole time they already knew who they truly wanted to move up. Also the pay increases are low at the end of the year. There can be many micro managers and once you’re in the bad side of people they will push your buttons and try to make it hard on you. People are overly friendly and nosey as well. Everyone wants to know your business and what you’re doing in your personal life.

Everything was great before they started hiring new managers. The pay was good however and workload very minimal. Benefits are great! 4 weeks pto after training. You have to work Saturday but saturdays are usually slow

Competitive pay, lots of opportunities for advancement if you work hard. Great work culture, work/life balance is great unless you're chasing a promotion - in which case you'll have to work longer hours to stand out. People were great, intelligent, and supportive.Company is really trying to become competitive in the tech space but isn't quite there yet. Somewhat outdated databases and technology, and very high amount of red tape and bureaucracy due to sheer size.

If you are in the Tech or cybersecurity fields and looking for an environment where you can grow and develop your skills while working with top talents and a friendly peers then Capital One is the place you want to be in! It is the Google or high Tech version in the financial world. Perks, benefits, and training are great options Capitalone offers. However with its high tech infrastructure, you will be challenged and the expectations are high.

Top Company!!! I LOVED working for Cap 1!!!! I will always carry them in my wallet. Cap 1 is a company that CARES, you are not just a number. They ask, we told and they listened!!! My 26 years there, I was treated RIGHT!!!
