Certified Sales Professional (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXJune 12, 2019
This entire facility has a "what have you done for me lately" mentality. No loyalty in this business, Sad to say. Capitol Chevrolet is a good place to learn how to sell & communicate with prospects!

They don’t care about their employees
Service Advisor (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXDecember 15, 2018
Service management is lazy and not well trained, no care of their employees or the customers. Laid to all the time and they are completely clueless on how to treat people. Very sad

Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  San Jose, CAJuly 6, 2018
You need to be really good at sales and not taking no for an answer. Overall working there was ok. You had a lot of time to try and build a customer base. Its all about what you put into it.

Too far for travel
Porter (Former Employee) –  Columbia, SCMarch 1, 2018
With a low hourly pay and false promises to move up made this a job that would not stick as it cost too much money in gas just to go back and forth to a job with no advancement. There is always a bad egg but they are no longer Capital Chevrolet. They were bought out by Stivers. Not sure how they are but I learned since living in Lexington, SC the dealerships have high turnover rates and don't care for their employees like they should. I had better employment length in Union, SC of all places.

Service Advisor (Former Employee) –  Montgomery, ALFebruary 5, 2018
Could be stressful at times hard to get Tech. to do come backs.
How to be a better Service Advisor for as deal with customer, knowledge of vehicle and up saleing.
So what fair sometime but there was favoritism and backstabbing by senior staff especially when business was slow.
Not working together between each department.
Satisfing the Customer getting their vehicle back to them with all repair done
Pros
Reward employee when reaching sale goals
Cons
Work weekends

Working there was great experience. I recommend working here in sales if you're willing to sacrifice quality of life for the amount of hours you work.

Good job
Sales (Former Employee) –  San Jose CAJuly 26, 2017
Job was pretty good and depending on who your manager was depended on how you performed and interacted with customers. Some where better than others but as long as you put in the time and effort it was a nice place to work.

Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Capital Expressway Auto Mall, San JoseJune 25, 2017
My desk was near the front door which allowed me to greet customers as they entered the dealership. I answered incoming calls and forwarded them to the Sales Team. I also did very light filing.

Typical car dealership with a straight focus on success. Strong leadership!
Hardest part of the job was lead generating.
Most enjoyable would be helping customers and seeing their faces in their new cars.

Warranty Administrator (Former Employee) –  San Jose, CAMarch 13, 2017
I was required to work a lot of hours. I learned my job quickly and quickly became management of my small warranty dept.I would basically do payroll for technicians; analyze, code, and submit for reimbursement paperwork on cars being fixed in the service dept. The hardest part of my job was the lack of support from the management team. I enjoyed working with the technicians to learn more about what it takes to fix cars and with the service advisors to get multiple perspectives.

Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Montgomery, ALMarch 5, 2017
Your working hours are twelve to fifteen a day. You have classes on new products updates and Management meeting weekly. The work place is very clean and organize. The hardest part of the job was to get someone finance, because of no secondary banks. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping someone getting finance and making a large commission.
Pros
Popular Model Return, Spacious Work Station, Repeat Customers
Cons
Lack of Secondary Banks, Longs Hours, Low Commission and Consumer Fraud
