Micro management & numbers based staffing. If it gets “slow” at, say, 5pm they cut coverage but if it then gets busy at 6pm or 7pm you don’t get any additional help. This can lead to working way past closing. Single coverage is not safe for patients but the company is more concerned with paying staff to “ride the clock” than patient safety. Which is ironic because every single policy states patient safety is the top priority. In addition to cutting staff, management will then want to know why clerical work or stocking was not completed before the end of the shift.
With every yearly review I received a raise. Before HCA bought out CareNow the raises were great- the most I received was a .75 raise. Since the HCA buyout raises and bonuses have dramatically decreased. I have received a .03 cent and .08 cent raise at best.
Very poor. They dont want to pay you for your experience but want you to take on managerial roles at the same pay, but will not back you up on those roles they assign.
No questions were asked. I was told about the job and what their expectations were and was shown around and then I left.
