Production Packer
Production packer and assembler (Former Employee) –  Broomfield, COJune 11, 2018
Management can't collab with people higher up, did not have parts ordered on time and would stop work, and stressful and dirty environment. They push you to work fast until you run out of work for weeks and then expect you to used PTO or do busy work in other departments.

Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  Elkhart, INMay 26, 2018
Unprofessional. A word that could describe this company from top to bottom. Took over 3 weeks to get the process started. Management is absolutely useless from top to bottom. If you have other opinions take them this place isn’t worth the wait. Warehouse management seem to be micro managers and one barely speaks English. Warehouse has lazy overweight employees that would rather socialize than get work done, leaving the ones who do work the bulk of the work load. All the while management sits on its duff in the office...unprofessional. Took one foot in the door, turned around, there are plenty of other good paying jobs with better opportunities than this one. Carefree needs to get their act together.
Pros
Absolutely none
Cons
Walking in the door in the first place

Material Handler (Former Employee) –  Broomfield, COFebruary 27, 2018
Don't work too hard or they'll tell you to slow down in fear that you'll sue them for them not paying you to do the work that you're doing. Seriously. Management was spotty, some are cool some aren't. But the ones that aren't are VERY petty. Training is minimal, nobody seems to give a hoot about actual safety more than being caught cutting corners. Carefree fits it perfectly. The employees are grossly underpaid and the environment in general is just negative. I don't see how anyone could actually enjoy working there or want a career there.
Pros
Some benefits, some laid back employees
Cons
Theyre very picky about clock ins/outs, lunch is short, only one smoking area.

Material Handler (Former Employee) –  Broomfield, COFebruary 11, 2017
Overall the job wasn't great due to the management and the way they assigned work load. They seemed to favor some, and dump on others. The benefits package was good, and the salary was good, and they did offer some good perks.
Pros
Great benefits.
Cons
Angry environment.

Production is very slow and and shipping is forced to work late because of that.
Material Handler (Former Employee) –  Broomfield, COSeptember 3, 2016
This is a company based on micro management, they will try to give you money to make you work harder but will put so many obstacles in the way so that you don't get it. They always change your hours around to benefit the themselves even dough you have your set hours and OT that is for the favorites unless they don't want it. HR dep. is worthless because they don't help the employee they cover up for the managers and the only one that looses is the employee.
Pros
Direct hire, the money if you can get it.
Cons
HR and the managers work together but not in a good way.

Production Worker (Current Employee) –  ColoradoJune 25, 2016
People are enjoyable to work with and work hard and help each other out. Management pretends to listen but never resolve problems. They like to say they pay good wages but people are hurting. Huge turnover rate of 50%. There are many hours of forced overtime.
Pros
Provide lunch on forced satatuday work days.
Cons
Short 10 minute breaks, No sick time, Very low wages, Expected to learn way to much for pay, No advancement

Returns Associate and Customer Care Representative (Current Employee) –  Broomfield, CODecember 8, 2014
A typical day at work would consist of inbound and outbound calls regarding technical support, placing orders and general customer service. During calls and customer inquires on product sales attempts were highly recommended. Calls were make to OEM's, Dealers and retail customers. Prior to being a Customer Care Representative, it was required to maintain warehouse 6 with my own inventory from returns and freight claims. During the annual inventory only a certain dollar amount would be allowed therefore AS400 transactions would have to be perfect.

Learned how to make outbound calls and run AS400. Also learned how to manage a warehouse and drive a forklift.

Management was very fair. They listened and assisted with what would be the best solution.

Co-workers were helpful and friendly.

The hardest part was keeping up with freight claims and call volume.
Pros
Salary, Hours
