A typical day was very rewarding. Seeing clients accomplish goals and continue to live at home instead of a center. I learned how to be patient and a better listener when dealing with the elderly and disadvantage population.
The most enjoyable part of the job was making sure and seeing clients smile and take control of their lives in a home or community - more ... setting. The hardest part of the job is being with a client who is in hospice and knowing that they will not be around long. It was also hard seeing family members in distress while visiting their loved one. - less
