A good place to work, but layoffs happen regularly
PACS Field Engineer (Former Employee) – Kannapolis, NC – July 20, 2017
This is a big company, with big company mentality. Decisions come from the top down by people who have never done the job, and have no clue what is needed to be done. I was given a project to do with 2 other people. My manager was laid off due to politics with his management and above, then the first job of the new manager was to lay off a few people. He had no knowledge of what I did or knew, and no knowledge of the project I was on in addition to my regular work. The previous manager was in charge of the project. Another manager asked to have me the day I was laid off as I had exactly the skills he needed, but he was told it was not possible to get me, I was already designated to go.
My coworkers were great, and we worked together well, even though they were far apart. We only had 24 of us in the country.
Free meals if out of state, Company car, even gas is covered, Good pay.
Sometimes long hours, Management didn't know what we did very well.
