How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Caribou Coffee? What are the steps along the way?
The hiring process can take from 1 day to 2 weeks. It depends on the availability of the candidate and how fast management is hiring as well. Typically the steps are: application is filled out, the candidate is called, the interview, the hire. When we have job fairs, candidates are sometimes hired on the spot and then the process is even faster. The technology we have allows us to hire and train new people very quickly.
What would you suggest Caribou Coffee management do to prevent others from leaving?
Be honest with them. Provide better training for them. Gossip kills a workplace. Talking about someone behind their back is not good in any business. If something needs to be improved tell them. If you don’t like them, suck it up, because you hired them.
What is the vacation policy like at Caribou Coffee? How many vacation days do you get per year?
You can request vacation in advance and with a Manager's approval, preferably 2 weeks in advance. PT employees do not receive paid time off days, and FT employees accrue paid time off days.
What does the standard hours per week look l I ke for an experienced General Manager
Our Caribou Coffee General Managers are expected to work between 40-47 hours per week. Coffee and Bagel location General Managers work up to 50 hours per week.
Hours worked varies by store and position. We strive for schedule flexibility and suggest partnering with the General Manager if you have specific needs for your schedule.
