Mechanical Engineer III (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLMarch 4, 2019
Nice place to work at, people are friendly and it's a relaxed work environment. There are moments of crunch time when everybody has to step up their efforts but overall a good place for work.

Quick paced and very responsible workers. Not a hard job, if you are well suitable for hot weather. Would recommend.
Construction Laborer (Former Employee) –  Council Bluffs, IAOctober 27, 2018
Quick paced and very responsible workers. Not a hard job, if you are well suitable for hot weather. Would recommend. I got full respect from everyone, and anytime. Never disrespected.
Pros
Polite. Good Pay. Understanding. Forgiving. Will work with learners.

DATA ANALYST (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLOctober 16, 2018
The employees are all one big family, a community that works together to achieve a goal. The CEO looks at the company and its employees as a community.

The management I worked under during my time at Carley listened to their employees and offered opportunities to learn and grow. I would return to Carley without a second thought if our paths cross again.

Creativity is kept within clearly defined guidelines and standards. Most content is developed with direct client input, regardless of adhering to sound instructional design principles.

WARNING to all that apply
OMG Not Even (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLApril 13, 2018
So they try to mask a contract job as "full time" with an expiration date to save money. They will take any project as long as they get paid then kick you out the door. I applied for a DB Architect/Admin job and was told it was for 18 months only but was "full time". They do not do hourly and weren't willing to budge on salary. DO NOT even bother to apply here unless you need a job.
Pros
it's a job

contract jobs masquerading as "full time"

Does not value talent. Only values their bottom line. Be prepared to get paid below average for your work and staying late because of poor management.

Web Programmer (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLDecember 15, 2017
This is a good company but you will be on a rotation of when they have projs and when they dont. They will just lay off a team of 20 people when they promised they would ALWAY have work.

Management and COO were terrible.

Do not work here unless desperate for a job. This company is poorly run with terrible benifets. They will bait and switch you and change your job function after you start and move 500 miles.

Great People, Ok Management, Low Job Advancement
Media Specialist (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLOctober 23, 2014
I really did enjoy working for this company. The teamwork was great and the people where enjoyable.
Middle management was difficult to work with. They would give short deadlines without working with their IDs, artists, or programmers to plan out deadlines better. Many of the projects would become rushed at the end putting stress on the bottom workers.
The work environment was light and enjoyable. Things started getting gloomy when layoffs due to lack of work began though.
If given the chance I would love to work there again when and if they can get the work for longer job security.
Pros
great people, flexible schedule, on the job training
Cons
middle management, no advancement

Primarily a DOD Naval Training Contractor
Project Lead/Senior Instructional Designer (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLAugust 18, 2014
Carley Corporation is a typical government contractor training company. An 8-hour workday was the standard. A typical instructional designer job included working with a project team made up of 10 people. While the work environment was very professional, there was never any job security or opportunity for advancement. Until the company began to and continues to lay off a majority of its qualified personnel at the beginning of 2014, I very much enjoyed my job and the co-workers.
Pros
Flexible work hours, benefits, internal IT support

Job security

Flash Programmer/Graphic Artist (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLMay 29, 2014
The coworkers were some of the best people that I've ever worked with. It's very diverse, and other people are willing to help you if you need it.

PROS:
Good benefits, except for offering no sick time. Nice working environment. Excellent IT support. Coworkers were great. People seem interested in their work and provided a fun day to day work environment. Coworkers also love to help wherever they can and make a point of never playing the blame game, at least in my experience.

Cons:
No advancement opportunities and lacks transparency for "moving up." Management set unreasonable deadlines due to poor front-end analysis. The pay is below average compared to what other companies offer. They try to validate the low pay by telling new hires that they have a high degree of job security...then they lay-off approx. 40-50 people whenever a contract is over. Turnover is EXTREMELY HIGH.
