Pay their sales consultants on appraisals and pay more on cars that are sold.
I would only promote sales management from top sales reps. It does no good to have a sales manager or G.M. that was hired from an outside company that has never had to support their families on a commission only job. Most of this type of management couldn't sell if they had to, but they watch a few training modules then feel they have enough information to micro manage you to death.

I would rotate 1st and 2nd shift . Pay the retail techs. some bonus or incentives above what production techs get. I also would allow new associates to accrue paid time off from day one. I would make sure my MA 3,4,and5 techs get up to date computer based training and hands on training to keep up with new technology.
