A great place with lots to learn from the team.
Process Engineer Co-op (Former Employee) - Winchester, VA - July 28, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThey have a pretty big plant at the Winchester location. The people are very friendly and it was a perfect place to learn during my Co-op. The location is in the outskirts, otherwise a great place to work.

Good work environment job security and company always on a uphill momentum in all areas production quality safety benefits and several different types of jobs. To advance Or change too What is the most stressful part about working at the company? We all have stressed individually that is a personal and beneficial for all of us to find ways to deal with stress and still work safely and efficiently What is the work environment and culture like at the company? A diverse group of people cultures. Ages. Races. But overall people who normally wouldn't mix outside of work. But there is a unity there were people work together well and above average fair treatment and harmony What is a typical day like for you at the company? A good sense of being. Apart of a vital role in the functioning of the workplace and leaving with a sense of feeling good about what work was performed that day and leaving next crew in a good relief position

Great until they no longer need you
HR Manager (Former Employee) - Georgia - October 27, 2023
Great company starting out. The HR team in PA puts a lot of time in the development of their people and to help with any issues that arrive. However, our portion was sold out and as soon as the buyout was getting close to being final it was as if none of us mattered.

Wanted to hire only local good ole boy
Applicant (Former Employee) - Battletown, KY - September 7, 2023
Interviewed there for a leadership position, not sure why I made it through a couple rounds of interviews before they more or less said well you have a 40 minute commute feom Indiana and we need someone "local" (this plant is in the middle of nowhere). Also they clearly said they needed to hire someone from that specific area of Kentucky because "the people here don't want someone from 'outside', the culture here is they only will respect and follow someone local that quote 'understands' them." Made it clear unless you were born, raised and lived your entire life in their community the employees and management did not want you there. So I accepted a higher paying position closer to home. I would not bother applying with this company
Pros
none
Cons
Good Old Boy Network hiring onnly

Great place to work
Utility (Current Employee) - Bettsville, OH - July 18, 2023
Love working here, it has its days sometimes where you are worked hard. Overall the production manager is probably the coolest you’ll ever meet and theres just some laid back funny people to make the night go by. The pay is excellent and if a day is needed off, things are usually took care of very well. This will also probably be the only company I work for that has grill out nights, has a food truck come out, ice cream and does a company trip or event every year. Highly recommend working here.

Wonder if will have a job next week

Fast paced enough to be busy. Slow paced enough you are not rushed.
Mine Electrician (11-14) Kiln Tech (Former Employee) - Maysville, KY - May 23, 2023
Overall a good company. The pay and benefits could always improve but they have since I was there. The managers are good, push hard on the supervision.
Pros
The people and support

Lots and lots of forced OT

Terrible 10-10 would not recommend
Heavy Equipment Operator (Former Employee) - Battletown, KY - April 9, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The employees aren’t bad but management is a joke! What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Place in a revolving door so you’ll probably do 5 people’s jobs and barley get paid to do 1 What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Rain, snow, shine They don’t care about your safety they will wait until it’s treacherous to send you home in the winter What is a typical day like for you at the company? Complete s*** show 99% of the time you won’t do what you we’re actually hired to do and hopefully you don’t mind maintenance work!

Can make a career of it
Manager (Current Employee) - Michigan - January 28, 2023
Any position pays well enough you can make a career out of it. They offer a lot of internal opportunities for promotion and training, and prefer to promote from within.

Decent paying job
Truck Driver Class A (Current Employee) - Chatsworth, GA - January 26, 2023
Decent paying job good benefits and great time off policy. Frustrating management and maintenance practices in production. Trucking usually gets hung up by production equipment failures.

Low mentality and education
Quality Control Technician (Former Employee) - Butler, KY - January 24, 2023
The company is driven by money and product and they seem to hire by nepotism or who you know. They only care about safety when it is required or in question.
Pros

Cons

Poor management and false information
General Laborer (Former Employee) - Rogers City, MI - December 29, 2022
They claim to be all about family, but when it comes to your own family it doesn’t matter to them. Management was extremely poor as well. Scheduled to work overtime on weekends. If you have plans of taking vacation to visit with family that comes home or just to get away from work. Good luck trying to get it. The probationary period is ridiculous as well. If you refuse any overtime when it comes to you, it could potentially put your job at jeopardy. At least that’s what some supervisors/foremen stated. It was my dream job when I first started working there and then it turned into the worst nightmare ever. Absolutely no work life balance whatsoever. Like I stated previously about vacations might as well dedicate yourself to working there. Holidays, well you might as well plan on working them while management gets to enjoy them. Safety issues might as well fix them yourself. Because management turns a blind eye to them and is too focused on production instead of safety. Overall I didn’t enjoy working for this company.

Very solid company, good to work for.
Finance Manager (Current Employee) - Pittsburgh, PA - September 10, 2022
Management is good from the top down. Most departments are understaffed so the workload is high. Pay and benefits are strong. Good perks like work from home, vacation, etc. A lot of good people work there.

Hard work and long hrs.
Conveyor Mechanic (Current Employee) - Rogers City, MI - July 12, 2022
Lots of maintenance and clean up. 60+ hrs a week and swing shifts along with working weekends and holidays. Management is pretty good about explaining the tasks at hand and will help with any questions or problems we may come across, but sometimes short on getting the right tools for the job. Safety is always a priority and plenty of people willing to help with questions or jobs that need it. The hardest part of the job is just the long work weeks and weekends, and holidays we have to work. No holidays off, and with working weekends as well, I miss a lot of family functions and kids games due to the long hrs, but I can't blame the company fully just because we're undermanned, and they do hire a lot, but people just won't stay long, so it's up to the ones that have been there the longest to pick up the slack and that takes a toll on everyone. But I work with some of the best people around and that makes the job a lot better

This is a great company with great people. Competitive benefits and pay, management is supportive and opportunities to grow. Dirty environment but worth it for the people and job.

Good Pay
Equipment Operator (Former Employee) - Clear Brook, VA - February 7, 2021
Was one of probably 20 Temp workers who were given the false hope of becoming a full time employee at the Clear Brook location. Worked long, hard months putting up with the rude Forman (plural) treating us like idiot temp workers who shouldn't be there. Granted some of us shouldn't have been there do to lack of being safety minded. Every time us temps would ask about becoming full time it was either "oh its coming, just be patient" or "I'll get back to you on that." We found out that we were only there while they downscaled the sister plant and transferred all the full timers to our location. Management slyly told us at a meeting neglecting to tell us temps that our jobs were in jeopardy until specifically asked about it. They only said it was a possibility and kept us in limbo for a good month and a half. Some advice for Carmuese; if you need contract workers with a non permanent contract length, hire contract workers who know the parameters of the contract.
Pros
Good Pay
Cons
Bait and Switch Company

The best group of co workers
Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) - Maysville, KY - December 23, 2020
Great place and a good group of people to work with. Long hours, good pay and benefits. A dangerous environment to work but the company overall fosters a safe workplace and culture.
