Service Delivery Manager (Current Employee) –  Exeter, RIJuly 2, 2018
Many roles are/can be remote. Mgmt is sales first and culture last. Relationship with clients is often strained due to low skill sets and low staffing.

HQ is clean, free coffee, free fruit, nature trail on site as well. Company needs to revamp their processes.

Remote work

Sr. Technical Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Boston, MA 02110June 13, 2018
Always on call it was not a 40hr per week job to many projects not enough hours to charge the project too. It always came down to profit and commission numbers.

No career advancement, no benefits and no money!
Convergence Specialist (Current Employee) –  RemoteJune 9, 2018
Been with Carousel a couple of years. I like working remotely and the flexibility it gives you. However, it's very frustrating when it comes to training because there is none. Compensation sucks, healthcare insurance out of pocket costs are horrendous and they will not give you any structured process to advance. Biggest frustration is that in the employment ads, social media and in their company wide internal communications, they make claims which are flat out untrue. Currently looking for a new position with a more ethical company that is not trying to outsource my job to India.
Pros
Remote office
Cons
Low compensation, expensive healthcare, no advancement, no training

They can't be focused and support all the things that they and while it is a great idea in concept. They don't pull it off and they don't give you time to spend the energy to be successful.

Report to a local university as an onsite technician/phone support on multiple voice applications. Enjoy my work and the people I work with. Contract is coming to an end. Need to keep options open at this time.

Chaotic and stressful, high pressure with little support
Convergence Engineer (Former Employee) –  Exeter, RIMay 1, 2018
Constantly breaks work assignment process and over0subscribes engineers. Uninvolved management only at the technical director level - no collaboration or communication with the team apart from sporadic group-wide IM's about unassigned tickets in the queue. High-end tech, but no training. You are literally on your own with no management support.
Pros
cutting edge tech, work-from-home arrangement is above par, good benefits
Cons
poor management, subpar medical benefits, odd location for HQ

Cons
accontability, internal knowledge of job duties in company, easy miscommunication if not careful, not possible to meet deadlines given

Systems/Design Engineer (Former Employee) –  Alpharetta, GAMarch 14, 2018
I enjoyed the people I worked with and the customers I supported but because the Carousel headquarters was located in Connecticut and I worked in Georgia, my work ethics and abilities were not fully recognized

Director Service Delivery - Public Safety (Current Employee) –  Frederick, COOctober 25, 2017
It's an interesting place, but it is do more with less.
The benefits need a total upgrade as they medical choices are not what it should be. 401K is a discretionary match at the end of the year, archaic.

Summary
Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Exeter, RIOctober 23, 2017
The culture is very cut throat. They merge with companies with no thought to how they will work as one company and leave the workers to figure it out. Management not very educated and good old boy network. No pay for excessive overtime. People back stab constantly. Training is lacking and there is no room for advancement. Upper management and the rules change every year. No sick pay and the PTO and benefits are terrible.
Pros
Work from home
Cons
Low salary, benefits lacking

NOC Engineer Tier 2 (Current Employee) –  Exeter, RISeptember 25, 2017
Learning has never been an issue at Carousel as long as you take your own initiative and do it on your own. Training on products you want is at a premium and the workplace culture is that of a do it or leave circumstance. The day to day is full of endless urgent requests ranging from the actually important to the mundane single user has an issue ordeal.

If your not first, your last

Carousel is great place to work at but like every company it has its downsides like being short of staff in my dept which is in the NOC
Convergence Technician (Current Employee) –  Exeter, RISeptember 7, 2017
Carousel is great place to work at but like every company it has its downsides like being short of staff in my dept which is in the NOC and it takes a while to move on to what you really want to focus on. For example if takes a while to move out of the entry level position since workload is so heavy and you don't get to focus on what you really want to do.
Pros
Free lunches occasionally, great supervisors, 1 hours lunches, great team/co-workers
Cons
short staff, not enough co-workers to balance the workload

Inside Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Windsor, CTAugust 1, 2017
Carousel Industries is a great place to work and you will certainly learn a lot from working here. There is room for growth, but the job is not for everyone that walks through the doors. The managers do their best to make "cold calling" a fun and interactive job.
Pros

Friendly place to work but no management direction
Convergence specialist (Former Employee) –  Exeter, RIJuly 25, 2017
When I started it was a great place to work with training and classes. The company got big and lost it' focus on how it got big. Training stopped and job security was gone.
Pros
Friendly Coworkers always willing to help
Cons
No management direction
