I despise it. "Going to worhk each day is an apprpriate wording of the question as the mandatory 60 hr weeks, back to back, are just that. It doesn't soeak well.for a company when an employee has to take a vacation day to be off on a weekend or face penalties
Work is manageable and not taxing. No one is overburdened . It is the continual 6 days a week.
The bathrooms, though are few and far between and often water is gound in pools on floor.
I have been in manufacturing for 40 years, numerous companies, large and small. These are by far the worst restrooms I have encountered.
Pay is decent. However one gets the feeling that Carrier believes that they then own you and the union seems not to care.
Afternoon differential pay amounts to less than 1%. Afternon shift ,on weekends when 8 hr days are sometimes worked has their shift starting time moved up 2 1/2 hours. Day shift gets off 2 hrs early . Sometimes notification of change from 10 to 8 hr day and change of start time is less that 24 hrs.
I have no hesitation to tell people I work at Carrier and even less hesitation to express my disdain for how people on the manufacturing floor are treated
Carrier is a good company so I would say positive,
