Operations Assistant, dispatcher (Former Employee) –  Richmond, VAMarch 14, 2019
I loved my job at Caruso. The operation manager in Richmond is the best! Very easy to get along with ( if your doing what your supposed to do). Like with any job it has its hiccup’s. It’s really all boils down to how you handle the situations that come up. The drivers are all very nice, never had any major problem with them.
Pros
The people

Exciting growth, Family owned business that rewards hard work and supports employee development. Fast paced and challenging, but also very rewarding. Unlike larger companies that treat associates like just a number. Caruso management recognizes the dedication of their employees with Safe driving bonuses, paid time off and other valued benefits. Great work culture, very supportive, although some days are long, its nice to know that you're appreciated and part of a growing organization that values you.
Pros
Rewards, Safety Bonuses, Benefits. Team atmosphere

Not professionally ran
N/A (Former Employee) –  Forest Park, GASeptember 4, 2018
Management is very incompetent at Caruso especially the HR department. The HR manager and recruiters are the worst! They are not professional and do not communicate with employees or candidates. They low ball you on pay and are very cut-throat. They allow unethical behavior from supervisors and managers to take place without investigating anything. They only want to hire certain racial backgrounds for most jobs, raises and promotions are only given to certain racial groups, horrible medical benefits, no employee recognition/appreciation, 1 week of vacation after 1st year, and holidays listed in the handbook do not pertain to terminal admins, drivers,or production workers (handbook outdated).Take your chance if you must!
Cons
Management, communication, pay, benefits, holidays

District Manager (Former Employee) –  Cincinnati, OHMarch 14, 2017
Corporate office was not supportive of the efforts in the southern region. I like a challenge and I always have had a great relationship with any of my direct reports. I am a people person who likes to build a team rather that have a group of individuals on my staff.
Pros
Self starter
Cons
No corporate support
